They're at it again you know . . . Telling Gerrard to get his boots back on at 38 and stating they think he can be a future England manager. Where have we heard all of this before
Not sure what is going on with the off the radar puppet. Last week he wrote an article that suggested that the days of jabba are coming to an end, but he's back to his usual arse licking I see.
Connor Goldson to Rangers for £3.5 million looks like it's happening, which would be an excellent signing for them if they can manage to pull it off.
He's more likely to join Lampard at Derby now. Big step down from Harry Wilson though, he didn't do very well at Sunderland. Good loan move for him IMO Gerrard will know him well. |Rangers were never gonna sign a load of big names but if he's as good as people are making out then this could be an example of his superior pulling power over other managers they coulda brought in. Apparently Gerrard was his hero growing up.
He needs to be ripping up the Championship like Wilson to even be in contention. If he does well & develops at Rangers then he could get a go, but even Woodburn barely got a look in last season.
Unfair to judge him on the Sunderland loan imo he never looked out of place when he played in the first team for us. One of those who needs better players around him playing at a top side in the SPFL will be good for him.
He also never stood out despite playing against teams alot weaker than PL level in the League Cup etc. He's obviously got something about him but he needs to impress for Rangers or he's not gonna make it. He might not even if he does well with Fekir, Ox, Lallana, Woodburn, Jones etc as competition.
Seems a lot of money for a Scottish side for a guy who has barely played 30 games above League 1 level in England.
Lol calm down Andy. It's a valid point. And Marvin Compper had played a hell of a lot more games in the Bundesliga than Goldson has in England I am not saying he is a bad player, have never seen him play as I imagine neither have you, I just think the price is a bit high. And as usual I am sure we will get told by anyone who watches English football he would run a mock up here.
Ridiculous money to be paying for a largely untested guy who has a heart problem. Literally. That said, the price being quoted is probably around treble what they will actually pay. Not sure if he's any good or not but it's a gamble for them.
Don't know anything about Goldstone but couldn't command a starting place at Brighton and doesn't look like he's going to. Also had issues with his heart. Personally can't make a judgement on him as a player but be wary of two things. . 1. The fee that is put out there. 2. People on here telling us he'll 'rip this league up'. . . .when in fact not a lot of them actually do.
The reason he's played so few games is because of a heart condition, but he is a good defender who I doubt Brighton fans will be happy to see go. I guess criticisms are valid, in that we don't know what he's going to be like post heart surgery, but he's definitely a level above what they've been signing recently in terms of ability alone at least.
