We are being linked with a loan deal for Rhian Brewster a young striker from Liverpool. Celtic close in on signing Liverpool superkid Rhian Brewster Don't know anything about the guy. . . .anyone have any info on him?
Be very surprised tbh he is very very highly thought of by Klopp and is apparently set to be a first team next season. He won the u20 World Cup with England and was top scorer. Looks the real deal.
Good to hear, hope we can get a deal done for a season then. Would imagine his chances would be limited with you next year if promoted to the first team squad?
Not sure I think I remember seeing our club journos saying he will be used by Klopp next season. But yeah playing regularly in our side will be hard for him but if he is good enough you never know as Trent Alexander Arnold has nailed a starring spot at the age of 19.
Time will tell but according to that report you are looking to put him out on loan to gain experience. . . . hopefully after reading reports and your own take on him, it's to us.
Would like to see us make Edouard a pernament deal, supposedly the fee is closer to £5 million than the £7 million that was reported earlier in the year. We need to spend good money on a CB and a RB imo, we can't go into the CL with that defence. I would persist with Ajer as he can only get better especially since he has nailed down a starting place for Norway now but I would like someone to partner him and I don't think Jozo or Boyata is the answer at that level. I wouldn't be surprised if we get players from the likes of Man City and Chelsea who discard very good young players every year like Ntcham who is now looking like a steal at £4 million. I still think of we can make a deal for Roberts happen we should throw everything at it, I know he hasn't had an impact this season but that is due to injury.
Right back and centre half (possibly two) should definitely be the priorities for us in the summer. If we want to make any further progress in Europe then we will need a whole lot more than that further up the field also, but to give us even half a chance we need far more quality at the back. I would say this applies even if we leave Europe out the equation as I’ve seen our defence struggle at domestic level regardless of the stats. I hope we don’t take our eye off the ball and assume we will be fine domestically therefore not improve the team to the level we should be wanting to aspire to. Top clubs keep building on success. My great fear is always that we become complacent and think we only need turn up and win the title. It’s not always going to be the case that we smash Rangers by these recent scorelines. There will come a point where it starts to get closer again, but we should continue to do everything within our power to ensure that is still a bit away yet.
The guy certainly looks the part, would like to get this one done. I would think Dembele would be away this summer with Edouard in permanent and a loan like this guy. Li'l Ze on Twitter
Southampton sniffing around Tom Rogic. Really hope he stays but if he does go he's better than Southampton.
It all depends what division Southampton are in, it wouldn't surprise me if he did go if they stay in the Prem as I don't think he is too highly paid at Celtic compared to Brown, Dembele etc. Due to him having only a year left in his contract we won't get as much as we should but his national team mate Mooy who failed at St Mirren went for £10 million that should be our stating point of negotiations.
I’ve had a feeling for a wee while that Rogic could be leaving as I think he might be getting bored up here. Love the big man and will be gutted to see him go but he has the ability to go down south and do well. As above though he can do better than Southampton. I suppose from the clubs point of view it would be best to cash in on him this summer.
I don't think it's done and dusted he's away just yet though. Even if they do stay up he's better than a relegation fight in England. You're right the fee should start at £10m even with the year to go but hopefully we can get a deal done with him.
I wasn’t sure about this right up until Sunday, but If he is capable of that level of performance then it’s certainly worth considering as he is young and can surely only improve under Brendan.
I've liked him since the first time I saw him play for us. His potential is so obvious. Could end up better than Dembele.
