Two beautifully poised semi-finals locked at 4-4 after their opening sessions today. Wilson and Gilbert produced the higher quality stuff this afternoon but Jones showed real character to fight back from 0-3 behind tonight.

I agree over the door thing in the way of wanting it to settle down, but no he wouldn't have spoken to a John Williams and definitely Len Ganley that way, but Hearn is so desperate to not upset the child and prevent him storming off to hold hands with a prince, that she must have been terrified of being phased out of top class tournaments. But I thought she actually held her own, and the crowd seemed to think the same IMO. There was a time that I thought O'sullivan was an amazing thing for snooker, now frankly I think he is more akin to a septic sore on the game. Would snooker die without O'Sullivan? would it hell. People (including ex players )need to exit the cult.
On Trump, yes he only needed to play something approaching his best to probably beat Jak Jones cosily, but he didn't. Not Jak Jones's fault, and he wasn't slow timing Jud at all.

Wilson is in the final...Jones is 15-12 up on Bingham but this match could drag on for hours yet.

    One frame away now.

Doesn’t seem to be the most popular but well done to Jones and Wilson getting there .

Yaaaay a Taff in the final.

So many mistakes by Bingham cost him which he said in his interview.

Can't see past Kyren Wilson now, think he will be too strong for Jones, who has done well. I expected Bingham to beat him, but that wasn't a shadow on the real Bingham there. Hopefully it will be an open final frame wise.

From my area too! The locals are going a bit snooker crazy at the moment .

Think it'll be a bit of an open final, but in the end I do expect Wilson to have a bit too much for Jones.

He's at the part of his career now where he's thinking about his retirement and getting his big pay cheques in before he can no longer compete at the top level. He's already done everything in the game and his legacy is already made in terms of winning all the most prestigious tournaments and setting loads of records. He now wants the money in the bank that he feels he deserves for being the best in the world for so long and the opportunities now exist for him to do that.

Not defending him, I think he's a cock despite his brilliance. But I think that's what's influencing his thinking right now. He can see the direction snooker is going in and can see that future players are likely to earn a lot more than he has in his career and he wants to hurry up the transition so he can get his slice of the pie while he's still box office.

If Wilson gets in front early this afternoon, I'd expect him to win fairly comfortably. However, if Jones can keep doing what he's been doing to this point and keep in touch today, I wouldn't be surprised to see him edge a late night drama tomorrow.

Looking like Jones could lose a whole first session here.

Good character from Jones to take the last frame of the afternoon. It's a long way back from here, but it can be done. If he can win the session tonight 6-3, and end the day only 7-10 behind, he's still right in this match.

He needs to win tonights session, even if it's 5-4, if he goes in 5 frames down overall, it's still all to play for. If it's anything worse than 11-6 it'll probably he over quickly tomorrow.

Vital that Jones won the session last night, even though he really could have done with that last frame. He now really needs three of the next four to have a relative chance tonight. It wouldn't be all over at 15-10 but it would be hard to see a way back for him.

Jones has done well to stick at it and go in 15-10 though in reality he could have won the last frames in the last two sessions and gone in 13-12.

It's Wilsons to lose, but for Jones, he was looking down the barrell of a drubbing, but it won't be that now.
