I have that exact same worry . Which is why I need someone else to try it out first to find out. Go on, you know you want to.......
We've got a Cecotec (Spanish brand, really reliable) with lots of programs, all working just fine. Indeed, you can make a lot of pre-cooked frozen meals, but we've also done some chicken breast and asparagus and it tasted wonderful. It depends on being disciplined. As far as effort and, more over, having a mess in the kitchen, it goes without saying that the air fryer is the way to go. For us, at least.
We got a cheap one, to see if they were any good, and we love it. We hardly ever use the main oven anymore.
I’m sat here trying to talk myself out of ordering a Ninja Woodfire XL It’s Gareth’s fault The suns come out and dinner plans have changed to fancy burgers and it would be perfect Buggeration and fckery - I’m going to lose this one aren’t I
don't like the idea of cooking anything wet in mine, and it is temperamental so complained, research your consumer rights (2015 act) you can expect items to last a reasonable time depending on what they are and less than 2 years ain't that (up to 5-6 years, but can't imagine you'd get far with items much over 3-4 years as some burden of proof it isn't wear and tear) even so still prefer to cook traditional, helped by the fact my energy bill is usually not very high - except when I left the Evil that shall nOt be Named who said farewell with a statement of over £5k as owing, then claimed it was system error. They must use Horizon, have relayed plenty of info to our local MP who reckons they will follow it up in an official capacity as the whole situation with energy suppliers is a joke - overcharge, keep your money, make it up as they go along in spite of smart meters (the meters may be smart, the energy suppliers sit at the other end of that scale) cooking chips/fries in an air fryer, doesn't knock as much time off as you might think and noone says you can't cook other things in it at the same time (oven) Find it far easier to cook a whole meal on gas hob and in the oven than muck about in the air fryer, may suit some, I'm much of take it or leave it.
I use ours quite often, at least twice a week. It’s a ninja and moderate size. We typically do salmon filets or chicken for salad. If not for a protein we use it a lot for vegetables like Parmesan green beans. You’d be surprised but the pre cooked, frozen shrimp is very nice in the air fryer and takes just a few minutes so it makes for a very quick weekday meal
Have you bought one yet? I've ended up pivoting completely and buying a pizza maker . It's absolutely awesome. Delizia Red G10006 02 Pizza Oven - Patented G3 Ferrari | G3 Ferrari
Got The Tower twin tray from Tesco and paid under 90 notes for it. Don't need a lardy dardy posh Ninja one as one I got is brilliant.
The decision was made the weekend before last, and Ninja didn't win. We went with the Alfresco Naples Wood burning pizza oven (the big red beast in the pictures in the Reasons to be cheerful thread) it's working out rather nicely so far (although @TAFKAP has already said the inevitible 'I'd like to do something that's a little less effort tonight' words) Randomly we haven't done a pizza in it yet but have done a whole Piri Piri chicken and baked potato skins - if the weather holds tonight is Indonesian Peanut Chicken Curry and I'm kind of hoping I can convince him that this would be rather epic done in there and it would give the opportunity to do some flatbreads in there too
Ours was £60 form Home Bargains and does the job. It has two draws etc and you can synchronise them too. There's some really good cheap ones about.
This is why you go gas I promise you with a pizza that's in there for about 2 mins max you can't tell the difference (and no ball ache setting it up!)
That''s what the Ooni is fabulous for with the gas bottle super quick and minimum effort Need to get an outdoor all weather table for that so it can sit with the others then it will look like a train of cooking things charcoal BBQ Wood Fired Pizza Oven Ooni Gas Webber BBQ
Been wanting one for ages and then about a month ago, Ninja put their large double draw version on sale. So I got it. I absolutely love it. Cooks quicker and more efficient and I signed up to Ninja and got an extra 10% off. Only cost me £134 and that was the big one as well.
oh I have one of the small Oonis and just got it so I’ve only used once. It’s a holiday weekend and I want to use it this weekend
Have you tried Corn Ribs done it it yet ? SOOOOOOOOO Good Also for recipes - the Aussies are really quite good Every air fryer recipe you'll ever need Enjoy
Haven't tried much atm but I've sent that link to my wife for future reference. Some nice looking food on there.
