Here's that stadium that they said would never be built....being built.

Then they said it would never filled....yet there's already 7 year waiting list for ST and 3 year wait for hospitality.

Imagine if we were any good

    Peoples Club.

Poor result today. Back in relegation zone. Thought Dyche honeymoon period would've lasted longer than what it has but sometimes there's just no polishing a turd no matter how many different formulas and chemicals you use. At least you got massive ST waiting list for new stadium got to take any crumb of comfort you can and cling onto them for dear life.

He's won 2 of the 4, they have 14 left, if he wins 7 of those they'll stay up, albeit in the lower half of the table.

I'm pretty sure it was my turn to make the "biggest stadium in the championship" joke this week

But on topic, are you asking about just in England or worldwide? Because Dortmund were in the 2nd tier when they moved to their stadium, and I assume that was bigger when it opened (even if it's also been expanded since)

Apparently so according to Google and Wikipedia. 52,888 capacity for Bramley Moore Vs 53,872 for Westfalenstadion when it initially opened in 1974.

Admittedly that's closer than I thought it would be (I assumed it would have been ~60k initially) and it's probably safe to assume that total isn't all seater, but still a slightly bigger overall capacity.

Manchester United averaged 52,971 supporters at Old Trafford during the '74-'75 season in Division 2, including an attendance of 60,585 against Sunderland.

Everton stay up, overseas Liverpool fans who have no idea about the rivalry can relax

I have no idea why folk feel the need to have a go.

I have lots of relatives who are both red and blue but also know some lads have to be right into hating.

Personally I think this stadium to absorbing every spare penny and Everton just have to keep fighting to stay up until its finished

Well 102,569 in Bradford for a Challenge Cup replay must be a challenger. My dad was there.

There's been plenty to top 53,000 (before all seaters) in the second tier of the Football League and below.

Although their highest 1965-66 league attendance was 43,000 in the 2nd Division Derby against Bury, Man City had 63,000 in Maine Road for their FA Cup tie with Everton in 1966.

Is it going to be bigger than St James Park when Newcastle were in the Champ?

Abroad, Hamburg are in the 2nd tier and their ground is around 60k i think.

Bari are currently in Serie B & play their games at the Stadio San Nicola, the venue for England's 3rd place play off loss in the 1990 world cup, which holds 58k.
