A woman in Brazil has given birth to a "giant baby" weighing 17lb (8kg) - twice the size of an average newborn. Ademilton dos Santos is the heaviest boy ever born in Brazil, says the Brazilian Gynaecological Association. Ademilton was born by Caesarean section on Wednesday at a hospital in Salvador in north-eastern Brazil. He is Francisca Ramos dos Santos' fifth child and doctors said his unusual size was probably due to his mother's diabetes condition. Paediatrician Luiz Sena Azul said Ademilton "could truly be considered a giant baby, for he was born weighing what a six-month-old-baby normally weighs". Mrs Santos, 38, has four other children - aged nine, 12, 14, and 15 - who were all of normal weight when they were born. "She knew Ademilton would be a big baby, but not this big," Ms Leal said. "She, her husband and the hospital staff were caught by surprise." Ademilton is being given glucose solution intravenously, to maintain a safe level of blood sugar, because of his mother's diabetes. He is also receiving oxygen because of breathing problems. But his general state of health is good, according to the hospital director. "Both mother and baby are doing just fine," said Rita Leal, director of the Albert Sabin Maternity Hospital. For Alfredo de Jesus dos Santos, his wife's diabetes was also a problem during previous pregnancies. "Yes, I got very worried," he said. "I got very worried because diabetes is a disease that never gets better." http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/4191765.stm
It doesn't say he was delivered by Caeserian section. That must have been like trying to crap a bowling ball.
From conversations I have had with women who have had children this is the general discription of what it feels like to have a normal baby
Nothing like condemning the entire female race eh Baz ? Of the group of friends I was referring to every one of them works, pays for nursery / day care etc. and is not dependant upon benefits. Of course the day you men can undertake the having a baby portion of the reproductive process for us I'm sure many many women will be more than happy to have men go through the shitting a bowling ball sensation ... assuming of course that you are 'men enough' to handle the sensation x
Well I was present at the birth of our 2 sons and I certainly wouldn't even contemplate having to have gone through that experience TLC!
Well I doubt if a lady such as you, TLC mixes with the scummy garbage that have half a dozen kids all by different fathers and never does a day's work. In any event, I said nothing about being DEPENDENT on benefits. Fact is that even wealthy parents are given child benefit, paid to take a few years off work and the children are now given a nest egg - all at the taxpayers expense. If people want kids, they should bloody well pay for them. Not expect the taxpayer to shellout millions.
