Didn't even realise that qualifiers started for the 2026 World Cup in South America yesterday. Crikey the last tournament only finished not nine months ago.

Next international window Singapore will be facing Guam in the 1st qualification round
I'll see if I can watch that match

Although if we do win, our group will be South Korea, China and Thailand, which gives us about a 0% chance of making it to the 3rd round

They have a ridiculous round robin qualifying campaign. God knows why they don't split it in half.

Brazil lose for the first time in 37 games in WCQ away to Uruguay. Darwin Nunez gets one of the goals in a 2-0 win.

I see Singapore overcame Guam 3-1 in recent internationals.

Venezuela continued their strong start with a win over Chile.

Messi still leading Argentina from the front as usual.

Predict Singapore's GD after the 2nd round, I think -30 should be a good estimate

And Neymar got injured again. Looked serious but he's not a PSG player anymore so doesn't matter.

When is the draw for the UEFA qualifiers? Would love to go to minnow countries like Andorra, Liechtenstein, San Marino (who scored a goal yesterday!),etc.

Happy Nunez scored for Uruguay, though little doubt Alisson saves that one if picked. Ederson falls back and flaps. He really is a subpar shot-stopper considering the level he's at.

    African qualifiers up and running.

Nine groups of six with the group winners qualifying for 2026, the top four runners up enter a playoff round

Asia starts the 2nd round this week.

I like the African qualification system much more than the Asian one.

Everyone plays the same amount of games, whether you be a minnow nation or a giant one.

Same as Europe and South America.

Mo Salah scored 4 in a 6-0 win.

Luis Diaz scored 2 in a 2--1 win against Brazil and Nunez got 1 in an away win in Argentina.

A good day for the Liverpool lads.

Shows Argentina and particularly Brazil are fallible.

So easy to qualify from Conmebol now the big teams can just half arse it -- and they often do.

Darwin Nunez at it again for Uruguay. 2 goals v Bolivia in a 3-0 win.

Hope he doesn't leave his scoring boots behind for Saturday.

Brazil lose at home for the first time ever in WCQ's and was to Argentina. This is Brazil's 3rd defeat on the bounce in the competition which is another first.

1 point out of the last 12.

That team is pretty shite right now.

    Boooooo.
