That's what the Daily Mail reckons! Although I can't see Man U spending £40m ever.

I fort he was gonna be going to Leeds sometime!
Don't reckon he'll go to United. Why would they eed him with Giggs and Beckham? They also have a similar player waiting in the wings in Luke Chadwick.

He's a good player yeah but he isn't worth 20 million in my opinion especially with him being injury prone.I doubt Man Utd would spend that much money on one player especially now they've bought Van the man.

I'd love it if Leeds bought him for £20m.

Dyer will prob play at Right Back but often push forward to allow Beckham to move in field

Acording to the Guardian, they already had a £15m bid refused and have been told that £20m is more like it. They will offer a take it or leave it £20mil in the summer!

Exactly. I've also heard rumours that Ferguson is trying to build a team that can switch between 4-4-2 and 3-5-2. Hence the fact he might try for Campbell, or that dutch defender. With Dwight Yorke likely to go for around 10 million, I'd sday there is enough cash for another big signing. Remember they spent almost nothing last year, and have been in the quater finals of the champions league for the last 5 years running.

It would probably benefit England, having them all playing together, although it would be a bit embaressing when it says the players clubs next to it! Utd already equalled the record for largest number of players named in England team (7 vs Spain(?))Have to say though, the team would look pretty good in a 3-5-2!!

    ------------Barthez--------------
    -------Brown--Stam--????---------
    Dyer---------Keane-------Silvestre
    ------Beckham-----Scholes--------
    ------Nistrelrooy--Cole---------

????= one of Nevilles, Johnsen, that Dutch geezer or Thuram or someone!

Hold on, no place for Giggs?? He couldn't play wing back!!

    EXCLUSIVE, Giggs to leave Man Utd! <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">

Wot, and have Giggs as a wing back?!
i reckon wing back would suit Silvestre. he's got the pace and fitness for it and he is very good going forward.

    You're right Riot!
Although it would be a nice option to have eh!?
And if anyone can do it, Man Utd can do it! Scumbags!

injury prone? he's only had one serious injury, and that's the one he's out with right now.

Dyer at right back won't work.

He's not going. Not yet. One of you will get him end of next season if we don't improve.

    He's worth 20mil, easily. Altough i can't see man u paying 20mil for a bench warmer.

Didn't he get caught out of position in the Belgium game when they scored?
