Mocking a tragedy is really a hate crime.

What does that have to do with a kid on facebook saying he'd poo on hillsborough flowers and he's glad somebody died?

As much as I'd like to see the kid get pummelled for saying such disgusting things, I hardly see how it's a crime.

Maybe this is offtopic. It's more England's politics than Hillsborough. I'll stop.

    RIP the 96.

I'm not saying I agree that police action should be taken, I'm saying it falls under the remit of hate crime, so the police can get involved should they wish.

I'd happily see anyone posting comments as he did prosecuted by the police. Families were tore apart by this, why should they have to read that kind of rubbish for it to be unpunished? It'll only keep happening.

This is detracting though from the disaster, people died from a lot of families of the City of Liverpool. I'll never forget the wondrous day that evolved. RIP

My dad knows a couple of families that had folks watching the game on that day, and he told me many times how worried the families were, after watching the tragedy happen on television. RIP. Justice is on the horizon!

My dad was supposed to be there, luckily he wasn't as my older sister had just been born the weekend before. Unfortunately his best friend who he always went with went and never returned, RIP Eric Hankin, RIP the 96.

My father and I are both very lucky to be here.

People will be locked up daily if everyone on social media was taken seriously.

I was lucky myself. Had planned going but I was skint that week, my mum who usually bailed me out when needing cash was a bit short that week too.

I think pretty much everyone from around the city at the very least knows someone who was at the game, affected everyone :(.

Don't need to be locked up, you'll hurt them just as much taking money off them.

It's beautiful to see all clubs, supporters and fans from around the globe gather to pay there respects to the tragedy. The support they show to the cause and remember those who didn't return home from a football match.

    Great respect.

They've adopted it as an anthem and regularly have JFT 96 banners at the ground, absolutely love them!

Not all is as it seems sometimes though, theres someone on Facebook who regularly posts vile comments about cancer and its victims, but when you read into it its just some coward using someone else's name all the time. Not sure if these media sites cant find the IP address though or just cant be bothered.

If someone reports it to the sites admins, and that gets passed to the police they can track IP addresses (even on phones).

Some lad had a pop at Tom Daley's deceased father on Twitter last year and the police were at his house the day after. Should happen more often, and hit these keyboard warriors in the pocket. They'll think twice about it then
