They are but shrewsbury have picked up i know as ive bet against em quite a bit this season! They won at sheff utd and only lost 3-2 to walsall in 90th min
They lost 3-1 to us after taking the lead, and we battered them! We scored the 3rd in the 90th minute but the result was never in doubt
Unfortunately. Thankfully the late equaliser didn't cost me as Wigan decided to lose at home to Blackpool
Mine for tonight CARDIFF v Brentford HUDDERSFIELD v Rotherham Fulham v Ipswich DRAW MIddlesbrough v BURNLEY Scunthorpe v Orient Wycombe v Notts County DRAW £2 returns £1,264
Not sure that's in the same spirit as the £5 challenge... you build up small to start with, but then as you have more in the kitty, the winnings get bigger - not one bet to bring it home all in one go.
On Saturday I have £5 on a Burnley, Burton and Coventry treble at 3.43/1 winning me just over £22... hopefully.
^ lol. Will be giving this another go on Saturday. £5 on Spurs, City, Derby and Plymouth. All at home to teams lower down the table... returns £20 ish so hopefully I've picked a winner.
Started one of these off myself last night, but with a little twist. Start off with £10, pick one single team or horse a day at odds of around 1.5 - 1.3 ish. After each round I'll hold back 10% and throw the rest on the next selection. This means once (if I do) I get past 5 winners or so I'll have my tenner back (ready for the next challenge) and will be making a slight profit every winner afterwards. Makes it a lot less galling if you have something like 10 - 15 winners on the bounce and then pick a loser and lose the lot. First choice was Liverpool last night, 1.3 was an absolute steal for us we were always going to win the game. Next selection is Sevilla tomorrow at the same price, 1.3 they look a pretty sure thing against Mirandes in the Copa Del Rey. I also round off the carry over to the nearest £1, saves putting ridiculous sums like £12.69 on your selection and have the bookie think you're arbing or dutching. My target is £500 which will take about 25 selections @ 1.3, less than 25 selections if I have a few at say 1.5. If I hit the 25 winners (piece of piss innit ) I'd also have collected a fair bit from all the 10% hold backs. So it won't be as daunting throwing the £400 or so on my last selection. Bet 1 - £10 on Liverpool @ 1.3. £1.30 held back, £12 on next selection Bet 2 - £12 on Sevilla @ 1.3. £1.52 held back, £14 on next selection Bet 3 - £14 on Aberdeen @ 1.55. £2.12 held back, £19 on next selection Bet 4 - £19 on Celtic @ 1.25. £2.39 held back, £21 on next selection. Bet 5 - £21 on Ajax @ 1.25. (Broke my rule here a bit as I was doing one a day, but saw Ajax 1-0 up and still 1.25 so went for them), £2.69 held back, £24 on next selection. Original £10 returned ready for next go. Anything from here is profit. Bet 6 - £24 on Porto @ 1.20. £2.90 held back, £26 on next selection. Bet 7 - £26 on Rangers @ 1.30. £3.39 held back, £31 on next selection. Bet 8 - £31 on Djokovic and Federer both win @ 1.4. £4.28 held back, £38 on next selection Bet 9 - £38 on Ajax @ 1.32. Second time I've back Ajax in the last few days, hopefully they'll be more covincing tonight. May cut this to £100 target as its far more doable, there are too many close 1-0 wins here for comfort Aberdeen, Ajax and Porto were all pretty tight matches which could easily have gone down. Can't for the life of me see me hitting 25 winners and keeping my sanity
Sigh, Ajax let me down. Had enough chances to win two games but couldn't convert. So ended up collecting about £20 quid off the bet. Will start a new one at the weekend, this time I'll stick to the one game a day rule, if I'd have done that with this one it would still be going.
