That's the amount you could potentially receive from the Gordon fee, with £7m of it being up-front and the other £2m is based on certain criteria being met.

Anyway, why I made this thread was just to ask how you've invested this money? I've been curious ever since CG moved down here, but I've never got round to asking you. It's strange for a lesser SPL club to receive this sort of fee, but you did and I wanted to know if you just splashed it straight out on a record signing, invested into youth development, or did Romanov keep it for himself?

I'd be interested to hear the fans' point(s) of view. :thumb

Going to newcastle reserves was never a great move for craig, he should have went to a big club.

No one in the SPL is on par with Celtic and Rangers though.

Financially maybe, but not in playing terms.

On our day we can beat both of the OF we have proved that.

In fact on a match by match basis we've done more against the OF than any English team ever has.

Consistantly? Okay, you can beat the OF, but what I was on about was on chasing the title, doing well in the Champs League etc. You finished 8th in the league last season, miles off the Glaswegians.

Yeah because one bad season = the entire worth of the team?

In that case Sunderland must be one of the worst clubs in Britain?

You forget we finished second a couple of years back, have Sunderland ever split the big 4? No thought not.

If you hadn't realised, the top 4 of the Premier League compared to the rest is an absolutely massive gulf in class, whereas the SPL is (in comparison to the EPL) far more tight-knit.

So wait first there is a massive gulf between us and we non-OF teams are "lesser" but now we are far more tight-knit than the EPL?

    Make up your mind.
