http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SHEFFIELD-UNI...QQihZ006QQcategoryZ106520QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem £72 as I type. Christ almighty. For one of the worst kits the world has ever seen. I saw someone wear this at Inverness last summer, it was tiny on him, and it was so tight and so cold he had goose pimples the size of dinner plates. I really want to know if anyone here has bid for this. £72 for a third hand wafer thin old shirt, christ you could probably have a brand new one made for that money.
I don't even buy the new shirts anymore, they are a rip off and bad quality quite frankly, 72 quid for a shirt that looks like a pair of curtains from the 1970s is daft to be perfectly honest.
Ive seen them go for £150. for some reason they are really rare. I love that shirt, is so bad its good!!! Jags the guy you saw in scotland runs sheff-utd.co.uk, he also pops on here now and again.
if you look atbid history , someone called tomt put in 7 consequetive bids taking it from 33 - 70 quid ..... why ?, he kept upping his own offer , prawn
You obviously don't use eBay much because you have no idea how the bidding process works, so it is you that is the "prawn".
I reckon the man selling it gets a mate to bump the price up for him. If the man's mate wins he will just re-list the item.
if you look at the times on the bid 6 are within a minute which show he thought someone else was bidding. no time for a response
It's simple - the current highest bidder put in a maximum bid (we don't know what it is as he is still the highest bidder) on the 30th April. Then on the 2nd May this other person keep putting in bids in small incrememnts rather than putting in their maximum bid - they gave up at £70. Whether this person is linked to the seller is another matter.........
I,ve still got that shirt AND actually gave away the home version a few years back!? The away scarves from that season were on sale in bargain bins at suggs for a quid for years,I used to buy a few when I was back on holiday and flog em to German fans for 15 marks(a fiver). Back in Sheff at my mum and Dads there is still that old shirt with red and white stripes and black pinstripes knocking about somewhere, christ they played in that when Alan Woodward was still playing. Are the old "on tour" away fixtures t-shirts worth owt ? I,ve got a couple of them from the 80,s. in good nick.
I know, what a mystery as to why they are so ellusive, you would have thought everyone would have bought such a fashionable garment back in the day. A few years ago I found the old Ajax style Alex Sabella shirt in the loft, it was filthy, I slung it because to be honest I thought I might get Cholera from it. Wish I had sold it on eBay now.
