Hey guys im actually a LFC fan before you ask. But upon watching him at the UCL final, it begs the question what exactly does he do? For all his tricks and flicks and mazy runs, his finishing is absolutly woeful, his final ball, and assist rate isnt great either. In four years at LFC hes only had that good 3 month period in 2017 under Klopp before getting injured again. He is just a really useless player, and the worst thing is he is now 30 so its not like hes going to be `learning and developing` and getting any better. Is he a terrible player? No, but what does he actually do? look at his assist rate and goal rate, its really woeful. Ive seen defenders with better records than that. I know people may say well its not all about scoring its about the space he creates and what he brings to the team, hmm well ive looked at the stats and LFC win more games without him than with him. So yeh, im new to this forum and im looking forward to being here, but really this question is boggling my mind, what exactly does he do or bring to any team?
He was very good at linking up in the final third, but has not been able to have a steady run in the starting 11 for quite a while now. He isn't the type of player who can slot in and affect games, especially against strong opposition like Real Madrid. He is the type of player who needs to be embedded in a side which has lots of movement around him where he can be the linchpin. Unfortunately, he isn't good enough to be a regular starter for Liverpool anymore, so he cannot feasibly have a playing role for them any longer.
really? can you tell me wheres the nonsense when i have stated that a player thats 30 years old who cant shoot, rarely scores, rarely assists, is extremely error prone - comes across as being useless! but yeh, apparently im talking nonsense, and its PERFECTLY acceptable for an attacking midfielder to rarely score and rarely assist if you read your ignorant insult towards me, youll realise how ignorant you sound
I thought Lallana and Firmino were made for Klopp’s system, but Naby Keita may prove be perfection. Does anyone else agree that Lallana has sexy hair? (Excluding facial)
Whilst this guy may be a wind-up merchant, there is a valid point here. Lallana was immensely frustrating in the final and offered little and ruined our shape. To be fair to him though, he's been out pretty much all season so it's a tough ask for anyone to step up in that situation. The problem for Lallana is he can't be played as a forward as he never had the pace for that, and always seems out of breath by the time it comes to pass or shoot. He might still offer a decent midfield option, but the way we're looking to upgrade the midfield his time with us might have passed him by.
You are the ignorant one if you can't see Lallana's traits. You probably moan about Hendo as well, that 'he's not good enough for us, not fit to wear the shirt, let alone be captain'. Unfortunately our fanbase is full of wallopers like you. Just enjoy the team we do have ffs. Also, are you forgetting 'YNWA'?
actually henderson is another who adds nothing to the team sure hes a hard worker, but thats what he is paid 100k a week to do does he score/assist/offer a threat from set pieces or lift the team and take over the game when things arent going well like a captain is supposed to try to do no
I think Lallana needs to move on in the summer. Injuries make his squad inclusion pointless now. Do you back any player no matter how average or pointless etc they are?
