    All-Time Championship Draft

    First Division (1993-2004) & Championship (2005-2014)

Are you ready for the challenge?

Attention all wannabe managers and tacticians - who'd be interested in taking part in an 'All-Time Championship Draft'?

In this draft game you have to build a team, with each player satisfying one of the following categories:

Category 1 - Has made 100 or more Championship appearances for the same club
Category 2 - Has played in the Championship for 4 or more clubs
Category 3 - Has captained a Championship club
Category 4 - Has played in a Domestic Cup Semi-final or Final with his Championship club
Category 5 - Has never played in the Top Tier English Division
Category 6 - Made his league debut in the Championship
    Category 7 - Played for a promotion-winning Championship team
Category 8 - Played for a team that was relegated from the Championship
Category 9 - Has scored 18 or more goals in a Championship season
Category 10 - Has scored in the play-offs
Category 11 - Has never played for a London club

11 players, 11 different categories. We will pick our players in a snake-draft format.

    E.g

    Round One
    Manager 1 - Chooses a player
    Manager 2 - Chooses a player
    Manager 3 - Chooses a player

    Round Two
    Manager 3 - Chooses a player
    Manager 2 - Chooses a player
    Manager 1 - Chooses a player etc

You can choose each category in any order you want, but you must pick one player for each category.

We will be drafting Championship footballers who played between 1993 and 2014 (seasons 1992-93 to 2013-14).

We will evaluate our players on only their Championship career (formerly the First Division (1993 - 2004), and now the Championship (2005 - 2014)).

We will base our evaluation on their performances from 1993-2014.

However, the category may apply to years before 1993. E.g Category 7: I could choose a player who won promotion in 1988.

    Yeah team-ups are fine mate.

Looking for a maximum of 16 managers though, anything more and it's gets messy and slow.

I asked the moderators if they have in-depth knowledge of the Championship and strategic tactical know-how... and they told me to "**** off"

I think they don't like 'games' in their forum (it's a fair point) - a bit like how the Current World Draft was moved. But I still think these draft games encourage good discussion.

Are we going to be judging players on their Championship career?

Yes, all will be explained tomorrow - we will be strictly evaluating the players purely on their Championship career.

I.e if one player had one season in the Championship but then later became a Premier League legend scoring 20 goals a season, we would disregard his Premier League career, but evaluate him on his single Championship season.

They've got Championship games on there, so I'm surprised they didn't make it a sticky on there.

Good to see a few new managers in here, looking forward to this draft a lot more than previous ones. Some cult heroes on my short list already.

Will be difficult to make your picks given you're now permanently banned...good luck with that, though.
