    RULES

    Squad Budget
    In this draft game I am being very generous with the Squad Budget - each manager will be given £1,000m to construct their 11-man team. Transfermarkt and its player valuations have been thrown into the bin this time. How will the players be priced then? A player's value will be based on how many International appearances he has played. For example, Emile Heskey has played for England 62 times - Heskey is valued at £62m.

    11 categories
    For each category we will have a BID round and a DRAFT round. This is how the draft will work:

    Bid on players from {1930 -1966}
    Draft a player from {1930 - 1966} (order decided based previous rounds bidding)
    Bid on a player from {1970 - 1978}
    Draft a player from {1970 - 1978} (order decided based previous rounds bidding)
    Bid on a player from {1982 - 1990}
    Draft a player from {1982 - 1990} (order decided based previous rounds bidding)
    Bid on a player from {1994 - 2002}
    Draft a player from {1994 - 2002} (order decided based previous rounds bidding)
    Bid on a player from {2006 - 2014}
    Draft a player from {2006 - 2014} (order decided based previous rounds bidding)
    Draft a player from any world cup (order decided based remaining budget)

    Bidding
    This is how each BID round works:

    Each manager will Private Message me with a bid for a player who satisfies the set category for the round.

    Example: Category A: choose a player who has played in a World Cup between {1930 and 1966}

    For example:
    Pele 1966 £92m

    The minimum amount you can bid for a player is based on their number of International appearances (1 cap = £1m).

    The manager with the highest bid signs the player. If two or more managers make an equal bid for a player then the player will be unsigned and remain available for the future rounds.

    WARNING: For any managers who fail to sign a player in a bid round, they will have to sign a player from the World Cup which you bided for (you sign these players in a draft format following DRAFT round, the order of this draft is based on the amounts bided - highest bids go first ).

    Drafting
    This is how the DRAFT round works:

    The draft order will be based on the amount you bid on the previous round. The manager with the smallest bid amount will draft first. If two or more managers bid the same amount, the draft order will be based on (i) the manager with the largest remaining budget drafts first, (ii) the manager with the most players drafts first, (iii) the name of the manager, A-Z (excluding numbers and symbols).

    Therefore:

    Round 3: BID
    Round 4: DRAFT (draft order based on Round 3's bid amounts)

    Round 7: BID
    Round 8: DRAFT (draft order based on Round 7's bid amounts)

    Each manager will then pick ONE PLAYER that satisfies the round's category. His value will be based on the number of International appearances he has won (1 cap = £1m).

    After you make your pick, please Private Message the following manager in the Draft Order.

    There is a Draft Deadline Window of 6 hours. If you miss the deadline the next manager in the draft order can continue.

    If you think you will be away for longer than 8 hours please send a shortlist to another manager or myself.

    Player Evaluation
    We will be drafting footballers who played between the 1930 World Cup 1930 and 2014 World Cup. When we evaluate our players it will be based on their performances from the World Cup you've picked them from.

    How are players being judged? Based on how they played in the world cup you took them in? So could there be 4 Cafu's? Or just two since he played in both these categories:

    {1994 - 2002}
    {2006 - 2014}

    So no subs. Will the rounds after 11 be draft anyone left? Obviously outbid people will still be needing players at that point.

    Either the draft continues past 11 rounds or we pick an under 50 caps or something player if we were outbid. Every team will need 11 players.

    If it's set that you can only get one player per category, then player A picks a player to be bid on, everyone bids that wants to, the player that wins that player is done for that round, repeat with player B picking a player to be bid on and continue until everyone has chosen a player to be bid on and everyone has a player from that category.

    That'd be difficult with players judged on world cup appearances.
    I prefer if you fail with your bid you have to chose a player from that world cup whose team finished bottom in their group

    Did I mention it's from the group the player you bid for...

    Say you go for Zidane 2006 and fail then you have to go for a Togo player
