Another injury for Carroll, I mean you have Sahko and Valencia but this guy is injury plagued, and he's a good player. Big loss.
51 games in three seasons with a return of 14 goals. I rate the lad but a £15m for him was not smart business.
I don't think it's fair to judge carroll for his goalscoring rate, he does so much more! He's probably headed 6 or 7 off the line in that time as well. I love the big fella and we now have a really nice mix of strikers at the club with the new lads. Injuries have been a problem but that is a risk you take and a serious injury can happen at anytime - dean Ashton! He's still got 4.5 years left on his contract so it's way to early to judge with his injuries.if he can stay fit for the majority of that then we'll definately get our money's worth. If not then it will be an expensive mistake. Strikers are premium rate though and probably the most difficult to fill successfully/key position in any premier league side. When you consider both Shane long and Ross mckormack both being bought for well over 10m each in the summer than the risk isn't that great as long as we have 2-3 other top strikers at the club. Luckily this season we're not far off of that as opposed to last year
