Has anyone been or can offer any assistance, please? It's my partner's 50th in August and I want to surprise him with tickets for the Belgium race. I know it's the one he wants to go and has never been to any of them. I appreciate they're not cheap and we would have to fly and stay, but I've no idea which is the best part of the track etc and if I start asking him questions, he will click I'm on to something. Thank you
It will be expensive, but anywhere close the Eau Rouge part of the course would be good. It's the most iconic part of the track. Left-right-left corner with a huge gradient that the cars have to go up which is an incredible sight when the cars are going 200+ mph. It's also just after the start/finishing straight, so on the first lap it will be carnage going up there.
That was nearly 3 years ago ... we didn’t get there and it’s up in the air at the moment, but one day
We didnt pay for any grandstands but were able to walk the entire outside of the track. For what you lose in a prime view you gain from seeing all aspects of the tract over the 3 days. If you're a keen bean you can get up early with some deckchairs and get incredible positions still. My mates an F1 nut and hes been Belgium 4 or so times and claims it's by far the best We drove and camped pretty close to the town (not for everyone I know) and it was a pretty damn cheap week really. You can make it as cheap or expensive as you wish really depending on luxuries Haha well my advice is still relevant I suppose!
