After doing the double over us last year it would be nice to see us go there an win an progress in this competision.

I think this could be a tricky one as they are now playing a Premier League team and will be even more up for it than usual.

My prediction is 2-1 Clarets win.

Any of you guys making the trip to Oakwell?

Still thinking of going. Hopefully win, should do as Owen will put out a decent side. Will make amends from that shocking ref display that cost us there last season!

we haven't won at Oakwell for something like 70 odd years...and I don't think we will ever have a better chance to! 2-0 Burnley with Fletcher getting both.

Would be nice if Patto and/or Fletcher played upfront and got some goals between them to boost their confidence.

Yep i'm off to the game. Just hope Coyle doesnt make as many changes as he did against Hartlepool otherwise we'll lose.

Coyle's on record as saying he wont make as many changes as last time, which was 10 against Hartlepool I think however we can expect to see some fringe players. Nugent of course is cup-tied and if we see Pato in the starting eleven it might mean he is the one who will be on the bench come Saturday with Nugent playing against Spurs and his former boss at Pompey!

shame about the result, thought we would of pushed on for the win after Eagles got the leveler, but not to be.

on the bright side at least we can concentrate fully on the league now an not worry about tiredness and injurys due to cup matches.

What is is about Oakwell, still no win in 77 years of trying? I never want our lot to play at this sodding place again! 3-2 Barnsley. We are out of the Carling Cup and two players stretchered off! Beast better be fit and at least we have Nugent to cover for Pato

Don't care about the result, more worried about the two injuries. I bloody hate Barnsley, we never have any luck there and always manage to lose against that shower of shite.

I think Oakwell should be towed out to sea and sunk with Exocet missles adorned in Claret & Blue! We are never going to win at this place! Pato sounds in a bad way and will need a scan to assess extent of damage. They are saying deadleg for Jensen on official site but we will soon know should Coyle suddenly be in market for an emergency loan keeper. I am not saying Penny wouldn't be able to deputise but we will then need cover for him if Jensen is out for sometime

Owen and The Beast himself were both on SSN and they both said it was just a dead leg

Dear god, oakwell is horrible for us. I really believe of all seasons we should win there it would be this one. Clearly not. Part of me wants an away trip there in the FA Cup.... but the other part of me dreads it.

Taste of our own medicine eh? :P

Great entertainment last night lads. I hope Jensen and Pato are going to be ok. We aren't a dirty side, and wasnt caused by bad tackles or anything. Jensen just collided with Darren Moores Concrete Head. Does a lot of damage, have you seen the size of it?!

Your number 32 was very impressive whoever it was. Who was it?
Also Eckersley, what a dirty little twat. Good job he got taken off at half time, he would have got sent off easy!

Godo following from your lot too last night.

Good luck for the season, im supporting you in the prem. Hope the two are ok.

    UTR.

Fernando Guerrero, got him on a season long loan and if he impresses the manager enough we've got the option to buy him.:thumb

Agree with you on the defender as well and said as much about him, thb i thought he should have been sent off and imo the ref bottled it a little bit should have got a second yellow.
