Vigil - Mass Effect Resident Evil 2 Save Room Halo 3 Arrival (Luck) Balamb Garden - Final Fantasy VIII The best music is the kind that takes you right back to exactly the moment you first heard it. Old Halo, Resident Evil etc all have that.
With my Star Wars binge I've been on I've been picking up a lot of SW related stuff on Youtube and been down the rabbit hole for hours at a time, when KOTOR came up. I loved those games and I always remember this little bit of ambience wandering around your ship the Ebon Hawk. Not a particularly outstanding piece, but just enough to remind me of happy times back then playing this game and its prequel.
Have still never played KOTOR2 - just one ill-fated attempt where my old laptop wouldn't run it. Really should play the first again and then that one. KOTOR is probably up there with the X-Wing/Tie Fighter series as the best Star Wars games ever made. Played FFVII again for the first time in a looong time last year, and the music in that still gets me so much. MIDI or not, it is superb. Still my favourite game of all time.
I would agree on KOTOR 1 being the best SW game ever made, with the story it had which blew me away back then. Alongside Jedi Knight : Dark Forces II (what a game that was with its fab level design and the first time force powers felt powerful!), those are the two best SW games. KOTOR 2 wasn't as good imo, but there was a lot of great lore in it - though it would be very talky for today's market - especially when you pick up Kreia who has a great story herself. Love HK-47 as well, he was hilarious. Ahhhh FFVII, what a game that was too. It was a slow burner for me, but once I got into it, I adored it. It still probably is in my top 3-5 games of all time, and I also still have the amazing score for it on my computer, and I listen to it occasionally when it gets mentioned. Really looking forward to the remake, it looks special.
Yeah same - it's probably the only video game score that I'll actually listen to on occasion. Potentially I could buy a PS4 just for the FF remake, but I'm not sure a remake could ever live up to it for me. I just love that game as it is. Dark Forces really takes me back - had that on my brother's first PC, floppy disk. Also had great level design. The second one is yet another that I've had on Steam for years and never played. The Lucasarts brand put out some great games. Was a far cry from slapping 'Star Wars' on any old shit and releasing it.
Need to get onto Jedi : Fallen Order, looks pretty good. A mate of mine played it recently and loved it.
Comes tuesday ,January 3rd, to PS+. Have never played it when it came out, so this will be my premiere. Can't wait I thought I had posted my favourite game music before? But can't find a post from me here. Weird. I'm pretty sure I mentioned the Borderlands 2 intro before. The Heavy: This ain't no place for no hero. Loved this gem of a game even more than Borderlands 1. The Gunzerker . Maya the Siren and, of course, Zero ("as a number") . Brilliant gameplay, great music. btw: @Flip: Flip Duckling - guest
im a massive fan of borderlands games as well. Played all 3 to death and always end up getting sidetracked farming for legendary weapons. Or trying to solo cheese the impossible dlc bosses! I think i played through tue whole game twice with every character Thought the 3rd one was on par with BL2. Not played tiny Tina’s yet, do you know if it’s any good
