It's an unfortunate neccesity for us to move to a bigger stadium, we need to keep up with the trends plus Highbury was pretty old (east and west stands). I don't mind the Emirates but drinking wise I have three of the best pubs where I live and then it's striaght onto the Victoria line for me.
Question for the leeds lot on here, i've booked up my train and tickets for our game up there and having not been for a while was wondering if the city center is still sketchy as f*ck to drink in @LUFCAndy
Nah it'll be fine, only really bother if you look for it or are from Manchester. I'd avoid around West Riding/Scarborough Taps etc which are right below the station, but most places will be fine. Lot's of nice drinking pubs around, couple of examples below. Whitelock's Ale House, Leeds Est.1715 (whitelocksleeds.com) the Aire Bar - Aire Bar at Sparrows Wharf Leeds Both do a decent selection of beers and won't be rowdy.
Was thinking the northern monk tap room, assume that’s fine. None of us wear colours but all of us do dress smart but aren’t game Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yep, Cross Keys near there is decent as well, nice little beer garden if it's warm enough. Best bet would be to get taxi's from there to the ground rather than the busses. Works out the same price and you can keep drinking your beer while you wait. Be around a 30min walk if you fancied some exercise!
You'll be fine, i'd expect no trouble unless you walk around looking for it. It's like 5 quid in a taxi/uber though so i'd probably just get one to near the ground and have an extra beer in the pub.
@The Unbeliever @Jimmy Skitz @Chrysalis can you lads suggest any decent "old men" style boozers in Leicester? Preferably away from our own fans and where we won't get much bother. Haven't been up to yours in a while so can't remember the decent ones
Parcel Yard outside the station is quite nice, was there on a Rugby match day(wasn't there... working in Leicester)but still got served quick. Do food as well i think.
