Agreed! - We would have defeated the Czechs in the final in a more convincing manner than the Germans did.

Special mention to the "wunderteam", that they are listed under this heading shows it isn't just a personal opinion that they were very good but more widely recognired

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wunderteam

Of course this kinda dampens the mighy magars nomination,

And before anyone asks, not that I am that likely to return to a thread with such limited scope, I didn't originate that wiki entry.

So people credit Holland with "total football", they certainly made the term famous, but this suggests it's not as originally Dutch as is widely believed. Of course they only have to have played it for it not to be Dutch in origin.............................. what with them not exactly being able to copy the Dutch ;)

France at the 2006 World Cup. That team absolutely oozed class and they could've won the World Cup if I wasn't for Zidane's crazy headbutt.

German side of recent haven't won anything 'yet', but they're looking more and more dangerous every year.

In the past, we were a cracking side in '96, but we can never seem to do ourselves justice when we get the chance. One day we will, just a matter of when.
