This is getting to be quite a popular bet as one wager covers the whole meeting,,I had a nice touch at Wolverhampton today (£40 @ 9/4 on over 13.5 lengths) just scraped in thanks to a horse with a Derby entry winning by about 8 lengths,,he was the reason for my bet,,,anyone else tried this bet?
Thats what I thought but OP says he won a bet on over 13.5 lengths, but the winning horse only won by 8 lengths ?
I assumed he meant distance from 1st to 2nd for the entire meet combined. He had over 13.5 lengths overall, and one horse won its race by 8 lengths to help him win. Quite simple
Sorry for any confusion,,,,,,,the distance I mention is from the winner to the second and you then simply add up each race of the meeting to get an overall total,,obviously any horse that wins by a large margin is going to help someone like me who only backs "overs"
The odds vary from 5/4 to 5/2 also the distances change with every meeting,,,,,for example I've done over 9 lengths at Chelmsford tonight after 3 of the 6 races the total so far is 5.75 meaning I need 3.30 from the last 3 races to collect.
If you're good at identifying potential big winning margins, then I guess you know when to avoid what looks like a close finish. That being the case, I think you'd have a fair bit of joy using the matched betting technique when there's a 'Money Back if beaten by up to a length' promotion on
I rarely bet on different sports other than football, but I never put a bet on a horse race. I always found those sports quite unpredictable and unpopular. But as I have seen on other forums, if you have gained enough experience and also have a bit of luck, then you can make a real fortune out of those bets. I usually play on this web platform biggreenweek.com, and now with your advice I believe I will also start betting on horse races. Who knows, maybe I will make some extra money, out of those bets. Thank you for your advice about starting to bet on other sports, and good luck with your own bets.
