    First leg - 7th April - 20:05 - Their gaff

    Return leg - 14th April - 20:05 - Anfield

Probably the best team we could have been drawn against & it will probably be the end of our season, quite possibly in humiliating style.

On the bright side though, this is what being in Europe is all about & I wouldn't say they're any better than Juventus/Chelsea/AC Milan of 04/05 on our way to winning the champions league.

If we don't get an away goal, it's curtains. Even if we do, it's probably curtains. But there's always hope :thumb

    7-2 to us on aggregate.

BVB are still going for three titles.

Five points behind Bayern in the CL, cup semi-final v Hertha and the games v Liverpool, interesting to see how they cope but they are flying atm.

They are easily the best team we've played this season, I think you'll be lucky to be still in the tie after the first leg.

All depends on how well we perform over there. Need an away goal, which we are capable of, but we need the defence to be right on their game.

It's gonna be a bit shitty for Klopp to take Rodger's team up against his & have to lose as the manager of the worse one. At least he'll enjoy all the love he'll get from Dortmund fans.

I can't see Klopp putting out a weakened team like Pochettino did so we'll give a better account of ourselves, plus as evidenced in the first half vs Saints we can be very dangerous on the counter attack. I just hope he rests players in the league games surrounding the tie so the players have enough energy for what will be an intense 180 minutes +, that will be key.

I think it'd be smarter to concentrate on this game as it's a better chance to get champions league for Liverpool.

They will press hard right from the front and attack as soon as they get the ball.

I hope Skertl doesn't play for your sakes

Unless there's injuries, it'll be Lovren & Sakho who have been a quality partnership. One worry is Moreno though, he will most likely play.

He's a good presser & great recovery pace, but yeah...

I'd like us to make sure Henderson's as fit as he can be for this with that injury he's carrying, him next to Can will be key. If we start Milner I'd have him in midfield somewhere too for his workrate, and tbh I'd not have Sturridge start the away leg, more suited to Origi or the LFC combo imo.

Yeah he needs it with his awful positioning & his concentration is really very bad, he probably has ADHD. But it just depends, sometimes he's good enough, so we'll have to hope for that.

He's not key, but better than the other options.

His combo with Can would be imo, avoid Lucas as he simply will be bypassed, and Allen could suffer because of the athleticism required, but is a far better option than Lucas in this game. Can is the one of the two that needs to be there though.

We really need to be on the top of our game in the 2 legs. If we aren't then we are going to get thumped back in time.

Mistakes will have to be minimal because Dortmund will punish us.

Be a very good game, looking forward to it, and the occasion, but very nervous about the outcome.

Any chance that after losing on Sunday and surely seeing your last CL hopes disappear that you'll rest players for our game ahead of this?

I doubt it as if we win our game in hand we'll only be 4 points off 4th.

Dortmund away is amazing, been with Bayern many times. If you can go then go, you'll love it.

If any of Coutinho, Firmino, Lovren, Moreno or Clyne pick up a booking on Thursday they will miss the second leg at Anfield.

    ffs

Not looking forward to the result, but as long as we can give a good account of ourselves and keep the result within our reach for the second tie at Anfield, I will be happy. We don't want to take the game to Anfield and be realistically, out of it.

Anything worse than 3-1 to Dortmund & the tie will be over imo.

Agreed, it will be difficult to keep the game to 2-0, to take it to extra time, or even worse, win 3-0 to go through.

It'll be the same feeling for United when they are going to Old Trafford with a mountain to climb.

Keeping Dortmund from scoring at Anfield will be a mountainous task in itself so we need to keep the first tie within reach. I don't even know what team I'd field considering Coutinho, Firmino, Lovren, Moreno or Clyne pick up bookings they are going to miss the second tie, do we keep them out the team ready for the second tie? Or do we take a chance and hope that they don't pick up a booking?

We can't afford to lose Coutinho, or Fiminho because of their abilities of creating chances. But can we afford to miss them in the first tie, to save them for the second tie, or chance them in the first tie and lose them for the second tie?

Thought Liverpool fans would be more confident than this. Klopp knows the Dortmund team so surely that's a bit of an advantage?
