Hearing there will be announcement at 2.30pm that Brendan Rodgers has moved to squash all rumours and links back to England by signing a new long term contract with Celtic.

This is a move which will disappoint thousands up here and that's just the media.

What a time to be a Celtic supporter, Brendan's here for the 10 :winner:winner:winner:winner:winner:winner:winner:winner:winner:winner

Rumors that is the announcement today but have only see the Scottish Sun break it and I woudnt trust a thing they say.

Hopefully and that will tie him down for ten in a row.

Wow.. that's a lot of money :eeek

He wants to break records at Celtic.. and he will do it.

Champions League will be a huge factor and if he recruits properly he could do well in Europe.

It's fantastic to see the club not rest on their laurels which has happened to our cost in the past.

We all realise that contracts these days are hardly watertight if a bigger player becomes interested, but this still shows major intent.

    The feelgood factor just continues.

Very interesting comments from Rodgers. .

'I will walk out of here one day and may never be back as manager. So I want to stay as long as possible'.

'I wanted to commit to show players like Tierney, Armstrong etc that i'm here for the duration. It would be hard to ask them to commit their futures to Celtic if I was on a one year rolling contract'

The man has got big plans.

That's true but is a generalisation i'd say.

If we take the relationship between Rodgers and Celtic I think we can almost guarantee he's here for the duration. If he wanted to go, in say another year, he'd have been perfectly happy with the one year rolling contract.

He's at his dream club mate. Totally different perspective when you're a Celtic man at Celtic.

    Great news for all involved.

For Celtic If he gets a better offer, Celtic get well reimbursed.

For Rodgers if he stays he gets to pad out his CV.

Celtic fans get the feel good factor and will get to the magic 10. (though lest be honest they will no matter what).

If he has 1 or 2 decent runs in CL too then all parties are laughing.

No brainer for Rodgers. A league he will win for the foreseeable future at a canter which helps him buff up his trophy haul.
