Only reason the ref gave the penalty was to try and even up what he done earlier to keep Hamburg in it.
Was working and couldn`t watch it. So we have to bear that lot for another season. How in the name of god they manage to keep themselves up all the time is beyond me. Labbadia will be gone by christmas. Mark my words. They desperately need a new board.
Hamburg are an absolute shambles. They need a clean out from top to bottom. They should not be anywhere near as bad as they are.
1860 stays in the 2nd Bundesliga after winning 2:1 at home against Kiel. They were 1:0 down until the 76th minute and looked dead and buried. The winner came in injury time. Even though it`s hard for me to see their supporters celebrating something, I am kind of glad they didn`t disappear altogether and I hope they will now take a good look at themselves and launch the necessary changes to be challengers for promotion to the Bundesliga again within the next couple of years. I can`t stand them, but there is nothing like the derby in Munich to me.
Hojberg is going to return to Bayern this coming season after a 6 month loan to Augsburg. I think another year in Augsburg would have been better tbh. But looking at our injury list last season I can kind of understand why they want to bring him back.
Peter/Zippy. I'm flying out to Munich in August. What's the best route to get to the Allianz from Munich's airport? Arriving on matchday, a couple of hours before kickoff.
From memory I don't think you can get a direct train from the airport to the Arena (even though they are pretty close), you have to go into town and back out again which would be cutting it a bit fine. Would have thought there would be a bus though which would definitely be quicker.
When you get off the plane in Munich go to the trains by following the "S Bahn" signs (A white S on a green background). When you got there you need to either pull a ticket or, if you already have a ticket for the match, you can take the train for free. Take any train (S Bahn) to the city center. Get off the train at a place called Marienplatz. It takes about 30 minutes or so to get there. At Marienplatz follow the signs to the "U Bahn" (Underground train) which is a white U on a blue background. Once you got closer to the Underground trains the signs will get a bit more detailed. You need to follow the signs for the U6 (Underground train number 6) Once you got to the U6 trainstation you need to get on the U6 to a place called Froettmanning. Get off in Froettmanning. It takes about 15 minutes to get from Marienplatz to Froettmanning. Follow the signs to the Allianz arena. It`s about a 10 minute walk from there. All in all it probably takes you about an hour, or an hour and 15 minutes to get from the airport to the stadium. If you have any more questions now or closer to the time feel free to ask. I hope you have a blast in Munich. Enjoy! Edit: Once you`re at Marienplatz you really only need to follow all the football fans. There will be loads of them there a couple of hours before kick off.
According to Bild and Spiegel online, Schalke is digging at Weinzierl to succeed Di Matteo this summer. I`d be sad to see Weinzierl leave Augsburg, but on the other hand it would be interesting to finally see this Schalke squad (which is quite good imo) under a proper coach.
Much appreciated. Should be plenty of time then, might even have time to drop my stuff off in the centre before heading onwards to the game. Heading over for the Audi Cup, season won't have kicked off so won't see a competitive game unfortunately.
Depends where you're staying but I doubt it. Unless its been improved since I lived there (2011-12) its at least 45 minutes from the airport to Marienplatz and you can wait up to 20 minutes for a train at the airport. Might have changed now though. Edit: just had a look and it seems like it has improved. About ****ing time.
You`re right there. Didn`t have it exactly in my head how long it takes. It is indeed 46 minutes from the airport to Marienplatz. My bad. You want to estimate about 1 and a half or even two hours traveling time DD, especially if you don`t know your way around.
Weinzierl has rejected Schalkes offer and stays in Augsburg. I`d say he would have earned double the money at Schalke. I like that guy more and more and definitely would like to see him at Bayern one day. Maybe even to succeed Pep.
