One week to the start of the new season, first fixtures as follows :

    Friday 24th August :

    Dortmund - Werder

    Sat 25th :

    Gladbach - Hoffenheim
    Freiburg - Mainz
    Augsburg - Düsseldorf
    HSV - Nürnberg
    Fürth - Bayern
    Frankfurt - Leverkusen

    Sun 26th :

    Stuttgart - Wolfsburg
    Hannover - Schalke

Season ticket and membership card are here and the Bayern team shown below will probably be the starting line up in Fürth if Martinez signs.

The best run domestic football competition the World has ever known.

I hope some off it rubs off on our shitty joke of a Premier league.

Speculation in the press that Bayern may downsize the overloaded midfield after Martinez signs. Timoschuk will be leaving and there are even rumours that one of the big names, Kroos, Müller or even Schweinsteiger (:eeek) may be shown the door, all of whom would bring in good money.
I can't see Müller or Schweinsteiger leaving though tbf but we certainly won't be paying 40 million for Martinez to sit on the bench.

Bayern are to increase capacity in the Arena to at least 71,000 in the near future.

Please please send Schweiny or Kroos our way. :( We would walk the league with Schweinsteiger marshaling our front line.

The way Bilbao are p#ssing us about with Martinez we may not get him. Kroos would possibly be available if he does come, I doubt that Schweinsteiger would be sold even allowing for his recent loss of form due to injuries.
They would both command very large transfer fees though as they have contracts until 2015 and 2016 respectively. For Schweinsteiger Bayern would want a king's ransom.

But if Bayern are actively looking to get rid of any of them maybe they would go a bit cheaper ? :(

I probably gave the wrong impression, there is no way that the club would tell either of those two or the likes of Müller that they had to go. But if Martinez comes and with Shakiri looking the real deal, if say Kroos wasn't getting enough games and he asked to go they may well listen to offers, but they would have to be very good offers.
As I said Kroos and Müller have contracts until 2015 and Basti until 2016 so we are talking big money as Bayern hold all the cards.

Well here we go, away at a newly promoted side on the first day of the season. Without Gomez, Ribery and Basti. I see a banana skin.

You'll probably wave it at a black player.

The possible line up with Martinez.
With the likes of Kroos, Can, Gustavo, Shakiri etc on the bench this season is promising to be special !

There is no way that Schweini will go.

Kroos didn't have a great last season. He is much better than what he showed for us so far, but he is only young. Unless he would be desperate himself to go elsewhere, he is not going to be sold. He is a very important building block for the future. Maybe he'd go on loan again this season, but that is only if Timoschuk is being kept.

Shocked at this move. If you ask me he is good enough to play for any of the top European teams, aren't Hamburg pretty crap these days as well?
