Anyone heard any transfer rumors yet? Whether it be from the papers, the internet or your mates mate who works as the cleaner at the clubs ticket office? I know things are quite due to the World Cup but I don't think I've seen anything relating to us. Have we even tried to sign Michael Kightly yet?

I thought we'd signed MK? personally i don't think hes good enough for the premiership what pace he did have to play there is gone. Funny he started knocking goals in towards end of the season when he knew a contract was going to be offered.

not really heard anything apart from Crewsell from Ipswich and the Watford striker but they were linked soon as the season finished. If its got anything to do with Sean Dyche nothing will be said until players are actually signed. so we're going British in the hunt for players because scouting abroad costs us too much he says

Pretty sure we haven't signed Kightly but it's just a formality. You're right in saying he's probably not good enough for the Premiership but he's definitely better than what we've already got on the wings.

Todays Daily Mail saying we are after young Manchester City midfielder Emyr Huws on the loan. Isn't he the lad who became the youngest ever player to play for Wales?

Yesterdays 'Sunderland Echo' reporting that Newcastle are to turn to Burnley's Danny Ings for 8 million to add some much needed fire power up front.

Also found these names being linked with us (probably the papers talking bollocks):

    David Wheater (Bolton),
    Bradley Johnson (Norwich),
    Oguchi Onyewu (Sheffield Wednesday),
    Vladimir Weiss (Lekhwiya SC),
    Ryan Shotton (Stoke),
    Britt Assombalonga (Peterborugh),
    Prince Oniangue (Reims).

Weiss was offered to sign for us before not interested in him at all myself. Shotton the same some of these rumours are weak and get brought up season after season. Wheater is worse than we already have

If the Shotton rumor is true I think he'd made a good addition to the squad, and maybe there's more chance of it happening in a double deal with Kightly.

Loads of rumours unsurprisingly. Emyr Huws has been mentioned in a few places, looks a good player but would be surprised if he's ready for regular Premier League football. I think Shotton would be a decent addition for a squad type signing, think he did well apparently at Wigan when Coyle was in charge.

We have rejected a 1m bid from you for Craig Dawson, will take about 3m for us to accept IMO.

Heard we were interested in Dawson, is he any good? Hasn't played much football recently I don't think?

    Potential.

That's all I can say really, 50/50 if he'll make it at this level.

Dawson would be a better option than duff in the premiership

Where's the link with Dawson coming from? Can't see it happening personally.

He's English, which means he's always going to cost a bit more, plus we signed him for £800k so it's not much profit, plus he broke into the team last year so it's not surprising we turned it down.

It's on Manchester City's official Twitter account that they are about to loan us Huws so he can gain more Premiership experience. Would be very happy with this.

He's also scored against us, in our 3-3 draw away at Birmingham.

Hopefully that's the end of it then, wouldn't pay over 1.5 million for him.
