Undisclosed fee. Everyman and his dog knew this was coming. Some Burnley fans will grumble and say he's not good enough for the Premiership but he's better than anything we currently have and he played a key role in getting us promoted in the first place.
If its 1m im a bit pissed off , i cant see us paying that sort of money for him to be honest. I know you said undisclosed but that was the rumour before the season ended . We need another winger as well with more trickery than them we currently have. Seems to have gone silent about Bryson now there is a signing id be happy with
I think he's a solid signing. He certainly started off slowly, but from the Blackpool game on he finished the season very well. He's a grafter, has a good attitude and clearly wants to play for Burnley. If you look at it this way, he's an upgrade on Treacy/Wallace and Stanislas I feel. Would like us to sign another wide player with real pace though as Kightly & Arfield aren't blessed in that department.
He showed his best form in the last 6 weeks or so i thought. before that he was bang average and even got dropped at times . As you say we need somebody out wide with good pace. I actually think Wallace has improved since he first joined . Funny think is if he'd not picked up the injury the fella this thread is about wouldn't have joined on loan
So what do people think the fee is? 1 million would be sensible when you consider we signed Leon Cort for the same fee.
Sadly Micheal Kightly is a one trick pony. It worked a treat in the Championship for us and you guys last season but his little party piece of drifting inside on his left will be easily seen off by the cream in the Premiership...
