I suppose this is the hangover game:laugh:

like all home games this is another must win.
tbh i dont know what to expect from them as they seem to be abit up an down so far this season so have know idea what the result could be.

But i trust Coyle to pick the lads up from the derby loss and get them realy up for saturdays game in which i hope the FA havnt already banned Elliott for, thats if they do ban him.

A stab in the dark but my prediction is 2-1 Clarets win.

Back go Jensen and Alexander into the Fantasy Team, you owe me a clean sheet after that Birmingham debacle!

We don't know what to expect either!

We are so very inconsistent it's unbelievable.

We seem to play well against the good teams and struggle against the lesser teams (no offense).

    Line up:

    Kirkland

    Melchiot
    Bramble
    Boyce
    Figroll

    Thomas
    Diame
    Scharner

    Zoggy
    Rodders
    Sinclair (hopefully)

I don't think you will pose much of a threat and I don't know why. I haven't seen enough to comment either. I think if we play like we did against City it will be an open game and a philosophy of 'score more than them' I just hope we look calmer.

Head says 2-1 Burnley, heart says 1-0 Wigan.

First game I will miss this season, at £32 for Burnley isn't exactly appealing nor justified.

Elliott has escaped a ban thanks to Foy not being sure it was a red-card incident. Eagles must start in my opinion. Kirkland?-thought he might be out with dislocated finger allowing Pollitt, our former loan keeper, to make a rare appearance for Wigan?

Alexander in a "dream team", i would have thought it would only be a nightmare team. Why would anybody have him in their side other than pens and i cant see us getting too many of them this season.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Wigan seem a funny side this season, do well against some of the bigger sides then slip up against the lower ones.
    I'm going for a 1-1 here

Quite like Wigan and their manager, but they seem hot and cold very much like us this season so it could make for an interesting game. Would easily settle for a draw now if you offered it me as long as we beat Hull (h) in the game after.

Would love for Coyle to bring Eagles into the starting 11 to replace Fletcher, think he’s earned it now he’s been great every time he’s come on the pitch from the bench since the Liverpool game. But knowing Coyle it will be the same 11 that lined up v Rovers.

For me he could drop any of the strikers because all 3 were really poor against Blackburn on Sunday. Only thing that will keep Blake in the side is that goal. Looked to have a bettetr balance once Eagles come on. He looked up for it aswell which is something i've been wanting to see for a while and put them on the back foot everytime he got the ball.

Nugent needs to be doing a lot more than he is right now for me to warrant a place in the starting line up. Wouldnt mind seeing McDonald in the side aswell. Its starting to look like no matter how bad any of the players doin games Coyle just isnt dropping them:rolleyes

Our form or performances mean nothing the next game. One game we'll be amazing the next we'll be awful. So I think a draw is a possibility but I think you'll win because you have tremendous support and Turf Moor is a fortress.

I'd go with Iain's team although I think Scotland will play AGAIN!

Jason Scotland was superb against us last season at our placed and scored two goals and could have scored more, our defence, same defence too apart from Mears couldnt handle him at all. So he might be worth a start against us

Are Wigan fans now regretting signing Scotland from under our noses?

At first glance, we should really be hoping from 6 points from the next two weeks. Although we have all watched Burnley for too long to know it isn't as easy as that! I think we may drop points in this one for some reason.

Trust me, I think there is only 3 fans who rate him (I'm not one of them).

Well Kirkland and Scharner are doubtful now so hopefully Pollitt and Cho will come in instead of Gomez because he's turd as well.

Normally i say turf is a fortress but wigan seem quite strong and your unbeaten home run has to end sometime.

Hence ive put a £5er on wigan to win.

    No chance.

Our away tactics include our fullbacks hoofing the ball to the lone-striker who wins the aerial challenges to our non-existent supporting players.

In short, we'll hoof, head and lose possesion at Turf Moor...

I think Wigan will get a win. Should be a close game though.

How many tickets have Wigan got shut of for this game. I know were only small time but for a north west derby game this should really be a sell out.

Or at least i'd like it to be

    Oh no

I think it will be the other way, close game but Burnley will scrape it.

I don't know figures but I presume it's a very low number due to a lot Wigan fans boycotting it.

A lot of fans including myself refuse to pay £32 to go to Burnley, in contrast we are offering 3 games for £30. I personally would rather miss this game and go to Portsmouth for £20 more and stay over night! Last season I payed £35 to go to Anfield and that is a much better prospective game than Burnley (no offense) against a top 4 side is about right but for a side who has just been promoted is wrong.
