Looks like Andy has sprained his ankle in pre season (or at least what Jack Sullivan says on twitter). Will we ever see him fully fit? Will we ever get a break? A few rumours suggest that he came back from Vegas out of shape and overweight.... I'm a fan but if someone offered us £10m would you take it?

Yeah I probably would but this injury may only be a few weeks, lets wait and see how much of the coming season he plays. I think there is a lot of knee jerk reactions at the moment though especially from fckin tossers like Hugh Southon.

Confirmed 4 months out with ankle injury.

Doesn't even surprise me any more to be honest. Fortunes will never change at West Ham.

He must be made out of glass...Kieron dyer mark 2.

Oh well, here's to another season of 50 yard punts from Collins which end up ballooning off Coles head. :angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire

Yes, however both are unproven really and when Andy is not in the team you also lose any threat from Nolan so a double blow really.

I personally think we should offload Nolan and sell carroll, if west ham are going to move forward then we need to get rid of players who just want a good pay packet at the end of their career! (Nolan) fat sam has agreed with the owners that a more attacking style must be adopted so there should not be any punting long balls up to just cole anymore, cole and Valencia up front could be interesting! cole does hold the ball up well and could feed Valencia etc. but sam has to change, and he knows that!

I dont think he does need to change or will change. His contract wont be extended next year so what does he have to lose. As ive said in another thread his remit was promotion and securing a prem league place which he has done - promoted in season 1, 10th and 13th in the next 2 seasons. Whether fans have an issue with his football or not he has succeeded in what he was bought in to do. We'll play similar football and finish half way up the table unless there is turmoil with the board and fans like at the end of tlast year. We need to get behind our fckin team for once rather than wanting the manager sacked over pre season results ffs

I don't want him sacked jonny,I'm just repeating what the porn twins have stated mate, yes sam has 'done what it says on the tin' but if as a club we want to aim a bit higher than mid table every season then sam has to try and bring in players who can push up the field a bit more, which he has done, all the players we have got so far are an average age under 25 and are attacking players, from poyet to Valencia etc. I do believe we can really do a bit of damage this season, but it is all down to players getting enough time on the pitch, and not getting injured, surely Elliot lee must be given a chance this season,he's banging in goals for fun! I think the twins want sam to start playing some of the talented players we have in the u21's etc. even if I don't always agree with some of sams decisions,i'm definitely behind him,as he is our manager.

I know you're not 1 of the Sam out brigade mate and we all know he's only got 1 year left but I think he's done a damn fine job. We were an absolute shambles when he took over and many of our fans conveniently forget that. He's set a solid base for whoever the new manager will be to push on (unless we get relegated this year)

jonny we ARE NOT GOING TO BE RELEGATED, we have acquired some quality for this season and we will put the fear of feck knows what! into everyone!, Valencia will be the exciting new talent who scores the most goals in the premiership,we will finish in the top 6 and get to play in the Europa league, our fans being so excited (especially the old firm) and me! will go mental in some Spanish city or town, then because our fans smashed the shit out of everything and everyone! we will get a 5 year European ban and then get relegated next season! yippee, so a lot to look forward to really! Not a West Ham fan, obviously. But I'm certainly gutted for you guys. We've had our own cases of striker nightmares - but we're able to cover it better than yourselves. Carroll is cursed.

Hasn't big Sam come out and said he regrets building the team around Carroll?

No thats the chairmen who sanctioned the deal! You'll hear many of our fans moaning about it as well, probably the smae fans that were singing/calling for Carroll to sign for us on the last day of his loan 2 seasons ago

(you live in Pompey mate? You're not in the Navy are you?)
