Just finished my annual rewatch. So, so good, and if you're not watching it as it turns to Christmas then you're missing out. A true epic. Best action film I've ever seen.
Was talking about this with my mate the other day. Really makes the film doesn't it? If he acts all slapstick the film loses it's charm.

Not seen Gremlins might have to give that a watch always heard about it.

My top 3 Christmas movies are:
    Die Hard
    Home Alone
    Lethal Weapon

I also have a tradirion of watching Cliffhanger when wrapping presents. It is most definitely not a Christmas movie, but back in the day ITV 2 used to show it every Christmas Eve for about 3 years running, because there was snow in it.

I consider the Harry Potter movies as Christmas movies particularly Goblet Of Fire. Anyone else?

No. Because they aren't set at Christmas.

I guess. They feel very festive though and most of not all have Christmas in the movies.

They have Christmas in the movies, but I feel because it is set across a full school year, it's not solely set at Christmas, so it is not a Christmas movie.

Another movie I forgot to mention was Eyes Wide Shut. One of my favourite movies ever, and it is a Christmas movie. But it is so unsettling I don't like it as a Christmas movie.

Talking of unsettling, we were chatting at work about what everyone gets up to on Xmas Eve and one of my colleagues said she likes to get the family together to watch Schindler's List as that's their "Christmas movie"........

Of course it is and it's brilliant

    Unsettling? It's a dream

How can a movie about a wizard be a Christmas movie.......unless he was a wizzard

Best 80s movie there is imo

No one's mentioned Love Actually, That's a Christmas movie isn't it? It's a pile of shite but it is a Christmas movie.

It's A Wonderful World has to be top 3, tis a glorious film.

Ugh. Every time I think about that film it gets a little bit worse.

One thing it does have going for it is Emma Thompson's performance - but that's basically it

I count Planes, Trains and Automobiles as Christmas movie. I know it's set at Thanksgiving but that's basically the same thing. Therefore, it's the best Christmas movie.
