The squad is still too big but it’s much better than it was. I can see why Chalobah, Maatsen and Gallagher were all still linked with moves on the last day. When everyone is fit our strongest XI will probably look something like this, although personally, I think Palmer starts ahead of Madueke and the three behind Jackson might be in different order. We’ve got a good team here though. Plenty to be very excited about.
Lavia has had absolute mare if that's how you line up. He would have ended up with more money than Chelsea gave him as a starter at LFC anyway, as we always reward performances. But you never know, you might play Enzo most advanced of a 3. Plus his agent ends up with more money this way.
Think it depends on the opposition. I can see an alternate XI with a LFC midfield three and Nkunku + Sterling as the inside forwards.
I understand as a Liverpool fan you have a right to be a little bitter about Lavia/Caicedo but it’s hardly “a mare” not being automatic first choice in the Chelsea XI at 19 years old. We obviously rate him very highly and he’ll no doubt play plenty of games for us regardless.

Said it at the time we were battling for custody against Liverpool and after Ugochukwu's performance last night I'll say it again, what was the point in bringing in Lavia? Ugochukwu's physical and defensive presence makes him a much better option for our midfield.
Chilwell out for 2 months. A real shame both James and Chilwell are so injury prone. When the fully fit and at the top of their game they’re arguably the strongest fullback pairing in the league.
And both captain and vice captain Can only hope James goes through a rehabilitation period similar to Kyle Walker and can prolong his playing career.
