 look at you being all cliche n shit.

Seriously though, didn't drive back home, work, friends, family and town were all walking distance so never had the need. Here you can't not drive. It's such a different process here, easier and cheaper ie never had a lesson, still passed my test :eeek

Yeah I’ve seen on tv how easy it is over there! And fuel is sooo much cheaper!

I am starting to wonder if this is a good idea. I shall persist.

You can get decent theory apps now that basically replicate the real thing.

Just get a 5 lesson block and see how you get on.

It needs doing, and the longer you leave it the harder it will be.

So get on with it. :duke

Again valued input, chaps. I like Mike's attitude on the 5.

    Winner.

It doesn’t need doing. I’ve always driven and would be lost in life without the ability, but some people simply don’t need it and get by just fine.

It's not a need for me it's a want. I won't buy a car I might just lease one or use zip car if that exists outside London. I ride my bike in London 7k to work then shower and fresh as a daisy, especially since I've given up booze.

Indeed. Telling a 41 year old he needs a driving licence is stupid. He’s done fine, you pretentious old fool.

More like 3, but yes, you're right.

The use of the word abandon was a nice touch haha

He hasn't done fine enough, you argumentative buffoon, hence his desire to get his driving licence at 41.

Hardly the same. I want a motorbike. I don’t need one, and I’ve done absolutely fine without one. He’s mainly lived in cities where public transport services are very good.

He has already stated it’s a want and not a need. Like me wanting but not in anyway needing a bike.

    End of discussion.

I used an app last year and it gave you everything including the ability to do practice tests. I learned more from the answers I got wrong and you can do it as many times as you like.

The one I used cost a couple quid but absolutely worth it

I also passed my driving test perfectly but I'm just bragging I guess :)

Yeah I think it even includes the hazard perception videos. I passed before any of that came out but from what I’ve read anyway.

It does which is useful so you're fully prepared for what to expect. Anyone can answer questions right or wrong but the hazard perception takes a little longer to actually understand
