    Criminal that Ryan Gauld isn’t in that Scotland squad

    Seems odd. Had a pretty decent season in Portugal hasn't he?

    He’s been terrific. I’d imagine a lot of Scottish fans will be hung up on his poor loan at Hibs, but now he’s settled at a club he looks a different player. 9 man of the match awards and he’s contributed to 51% of Farense goals this season with Braga looking to sign him in the summer

    He just seems a different type of player to what Scotland have available and would add a bit of flair to the attack

    He 100% should be included.

    The problem is Clarke is a negative 1-0 type manager and plays to a system he won't change and Guald simply doesn't fit it.

    He is getting a lot of plaudits for getting Scotland to the Euros but I personally think he has been very lucky so far and his tactics haven't worked to the extent people think they did and and a player like Guald could be used to change a game.

    That seems a fair assessment. The midfield options just look really underwhelming. There’s some good players in there but they all seem a bit similar, then the players that provide you with a bit of pace such as Fraser and Forrest are either currently injured and haven’t played much this season respectively

    Surely it’d have been worth putting Gauld in instead of someone like Greg Taylor:laugh: So many fans of Portuguese teams are astounded that he’s not been included

    Goalkeepers: Rui Patrício, Anthony Lopes, Rui Silva;

    Defenders: João Cancelo, Nélson Semedo, José Fonte, Pepe, Rúben Dias, Nuno Mendes, Raphäel Guerreiro;

    Midfielders: Danilo, João Palhinha, Rúben Neves, Bruno Fernandes, João Moutinho, Renato Sanches, Sérgio Oliveira, William Carvalho, Pote

    Forwards: André Silva, Bernardo Silva, Cristiano Ronaldo, Diogo Jota, Gonçalo Guedes, João Félix, Rafa Silva.

    A nice looking team for us. I’m very surprised Duarte hasn’t been picked, only taking 3 centre backs is a bit of a risk especially when Pepe and Fonte are knocking on a bit. I would assume Danilo will be used as CB cover if required. So many defensive midfielders though it seems like overkill. On form, Palhinha should start.

    Pote called up :D very happy about this after his terrific season and hopefully Andre Silva can bring his club form to the national team. Not really sure why Rafa has been called up, Trincao would’ve made more sense
