I wouldn't have forgiven you either! Grateful I got to go to Wembley for the last 16 but would kill to be there tomorrow. You're one of a very lucky few
Probably a sign of the times my first thought was "that's not bad"! Unfortunately, never been to an England game before so probably nigh on impossible to secure a ticket really.
I joined the travel club in 2019 and went to three home qualifiers and the Czech Republic away game. Ended up with tickets for the Germany game, the semi-final and now the final so it isn't the closed shop some people think it is.
Christ yeah that does make it seem not bad at all. Personally would only pay £1.50 to watch a team like Wales anyway Fair play mate, expect I'll join it in a couple years to help get tickets for 2026 World Cup
Good to know. Guessing there's no point joining today to try and get a resale ticket for Sunday? My wife and I have our sights set on the 2026 World Cup in the US so I'll definitely be joining before then. Watching England and travelling around the States for a month would be my idea of heaven We've already put £60 in the fund this month so it should be a decent amount come 2026
Just been in the queue for the remaining 2,000 tickets but after 90 mins of waiting they appear to have all sold out Biggest long shot ever but if anyone ends up having a spare please message me. I can be at the stadium within a couple of hours and will happily ply you with beer!
I was checking my email all day yesterday, then the FA sent an email with an access code, 10 minutes before they went on sale! I didn't see it until an hour later. All that was left was a 900 euro ticket. I don't want a divorce, so that wasn't an option... I'm now on the reserve list, so maybe...
Good to know that's all that was left! I wouldn't have paid that either. My limit was the £595 ones and that was pushing it. Was just going to buy them and tell the missus later Would love to be there but knowing I haven't just blown £600 plus travel, beer and food expenses on one game is a bit of a relief TBH
If they qualify and end up based on the east coast, a lot of the travelling can be done by train. And the trains in the states have been pretty good from my experiences.
For those of you lucky / unlucky to go , how was your experience ? Just reading a Posh fans view him & 2 mates went & sounded terrible more like a war zone than a football final with people's tickets no getting activated , no Covid checks , half the bars , food outlets & more importantly toilets closed with people urinating anywhere & the leaving the stadium was the most toxic bit , made me feel glad I chose the sofa !
All sorts of videos going around with people kicking each other. Some having broken through the gates without tickets and others trying to retaliate. This is inside the ground too.. Such a shame all this has taken up most of the headlines. Certainly means UEFA/FIFA won't be rushing back with a major event.
If people's tickets werent activated, does that explain the scenes of people rushing the stadium as opposed to those without tickets trying to get in? Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk
I got off the tube at Wembley Park and you could immediately tell that thousands of people had turned up to just drink outside the stadium and soak up the atmosphere it was shoulder to shoulder pretty much the whole walk down to the Covid check area with flares going off and people climbing up lampposts and pretty much anything else they could get up to be higher than everyone else. I didn't actually see any bottles being chucked but pretty much the whole way down was walking on broken glass. My Covid status was looked at by a steward although I don't think they were really looking hard at it and my ticket was activated. There was a scuffle between a couple of stewards and some people trying to break through but they were taken away pretty quickly, this was as you go up the steps up to the stadium. I wasn't actually aware of anyone getting in without tickets until a mate text me to see if I had seen anything when I was already in my seat. To be honest it was heaving in the Supporters club area but it was for every game I was at, so I expect people had been getting in without tickets the whole way through. The only difference I saw inside the stadium was that there were no programmes for sale at all, there had been for the Germany and Denmark games. I didn't see a great deal different apart from the state of Wembley Way before and after the game. It wasn't like that for any other game I have been to at Wembley.
