Anyone had a dabble? Any good offers out there?

Been looking a few group forecast bets

    Italy 1st, Turkey 2nd
    Belgium 1st, Denmark 2nd
    France 1st, Portugal 2nd

@68/1 looks like it’s worth a few quid.

France to win the whole thing, Mbappe POTT, Lukaku top scorer is tempting @ 80/1 too

No bets, but I'm in 4 sweepstakes, with only two drawn so far.

In the Gloucester City fans' forum I've drawn Slovakia. My record, as the only Cheltenham fan who's allowed to post on there, in their sweepstakes is phenomenal and I'm tempted to have a dabble on Slovakia because of it. In 2010 I had Spain, in 2012 Italy, 2014 I had Germany, 2016 Portugal and 2018 Croatia.

In my family one, that I'm running and held the draw of on Sunday, I've got Italy.

Tonight sees the draw of my football team's one - which is a bit of fun for the kids (I coach an u10s team) and obviously we have the sweep on this site.

Can't see Germany going out in the group stages. Ronaldo will struggle to carry Portugal this time.

The group forecast odds look very generous. I’ve taken France and Portugal at 4.0 with Netherlands and Ukraine at 2.2

    1) Italy - Portugal final 50/1

    2) Portugal, Ukraine, Turkey, Russia & Poland to qualify from the groups 4/1

    3) Netherlands & Ukraine dual forecast
    Portugal & France dual forecast
    Finland to finish bottom
    Slovakia to finish bottom
    21/1

    4) Italy to win group A
    Belgium to win group B
    Ukraine to qualify
    Portugal to qualify
    Slovakia not to qualify
    5.72/1

Then I’ve just whacked on a few top scorer ew bets. Andre Silva 40/1, Yilmaz 40/1 and Berardi 67/1

If previous games are to go by the rest of the team will be the ones carrying him

I normally bet on the following for major tournaments so will have a look this week.

To win (My general pick to win the competition)
    France at the minute

Outsider to win (Looking at a decent price as will only be a tenner max)
Looking at the Czech Republic at the minute.

Top Goal Scorer and winner double
    Mbappe / France

    Top Goal Scorer (outsider again)
Looking at Hollands group I think I will back Wijnaldum for this (80/1)

Looking at the above I will probably have a couple of bets on teams to get through the group stages as well.

To be fair, you can come 3rd and still not go out now

    Tell me about it, Bet365 have France-Portugal at 6/1 which seemed ridiculous, they’ve got Germany-France @ 11/4, France-Germany @ 11/3 and Germany-Portugal @ 5/1 ahead of it, which seems mental to me.

Bruno Fernandes as top scorer is 50/1, could be a decent shout. Having said that Ronaldo will hog all penalties and freekicks so maybe not.

I went for a few beers a couple of weeks ago and was talking football with a mate, got a bit giddy, and stuck £20 on us to win it

Did anyone watch the " football's gambling programme " hosted by the Scottish MP Ruth Davison on channel 4 last night ?

I've liked a gamble for about 30 years but it really opened my eyes to some of the strategies the betting companies use & how subliminal things are throughout a match .

Might have a few more punts on points before the tournament starts, Bet365 did something similar at the last World Cup but with grouped points (0-1, 2-4 etc) and I made a pretty healthy profit off them. Hopefully these are as successful for me

Was particularly surprised by the odds on the top one, Belgium @ 3/1 to beat Switzerland, Finland & Russia seems very generous. Slovakia @ 5/2 also seems too high imo, debating a punt on them to be the lowest scorers in the tournament @ 9/1 too. They’re absolute dogshit and have a pretty rough group.

Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, England, Spain, France to win the groups.

What do we reckon? Cash out for a profit (to subsequently re-bet on the knockouts  ) or hold a little faith?

Relying on an England, Spain, Poland and France win. I can see them happening but just as easily one letting me down.

Only other bet in play at the moment is 1.5+ goals in all of Turkey, Belgium, Poland and Portugal's group games. Two games to go for £70.

I've only backed England not to win with my free bets so far... but noticed Slovakia are 16/1 to beat Spain tomorrow and 12/1 on the draw no bet. Thought it was worth a couple of quid at those odds.
