Early goal and couldn't build on it.

    Awful yet again.

What an absolutely dire 45 minutes from us that was and Klopp too, absolute nightmare subs? WTF? Second Diaz and Salah went off there the tie was over.

I do wonder how the **** only 3 minutes were added on though, referee just allowed Atalanta to waste time at will. Was expecting 6/7 mins in truth. Not that it mattered, we didnt deserve anything anyway.

What a pathetic way to go out. We’ve become so unbelievably boring to watch. The same rinse and repeat pattern of play over and over again hoping it breaks the opposing team down. Bring me back to the free flowing days of Mane, Bobby and Salah because I’d rather watch paint dry than performances like we’ve been served up over the last 12-18 months.

Atalanta the deserving winners. I’d hope they’d go into to win it now if it wasn’t for Xabi!

Easy for you to say, I was hoping Blades might just sneak it.

I've heard elsewhere people say this sudden downturn in form for Liverpool is down to the Klopp departure announcement, what do you guys think?

Personally I think its a bit of a cop out (not going to embarrass myself with that pun) surely the players would want to play their best to allow Klopp to leave with a bang, especially the likes of Virgil, Robertson, Salah. Done wonders for them

I think the pressure of delivering trophies for Klopps departure got too much, early on we were flying, as if the announcement had spurred us on. Last few weeks we've simply ran out of steam, players look absolute goosed physically and mentally.

England's loss is Germany's win? Looks like it we get the 5th CL place

And they did it in "Leverkusen style" with the equalizer in the 89th minute. Unbelievable.

Although tbh in the 1st half it was all West Ham and Leverkusen was very lucky here that they were only 0-1 behind (especially this Kossounou guy had lost it completely. One error after the other, was he still pissed from the weekends celebrations?)
2nd half they won back control of the match.

Now in the semi-final against Roma. Replay from last season's semi-final (0-0, 0-1).
    Hopefully with a different outcome!

New format means it won't happen going forward anyway but it's a little nice that the four semi finalists are all clubs that started in this competition, rather than being CL dropouts which is usually the case for the winners.

they surely can't continue current form which is what, 1 goal in last 3 games?

last night was inevitable but still limp, perhaps just growing on the minds of the players after a 2-2 they should have won, disaster at home twice in a row and relative mountain to climb knowing the manager is leaving at the end of the season

may have taken time to sink in, although I'll be many times more disappointed if/when Liverpool don't win the league than either recent cup exits, isn't even like it was the Champions League no matter how much some fans dress it up as giving Klopp a trophy he hasn't won with Liverpool
