Pele. In danger of becoming the most underrated legend in football. Should have died young chief, nobody would be near you now....
Pele is the best player of all time for me, but he's not a striker. He's more of a #10 at his peak or a SS coming from behind. Fenomeno is the best striker ever I've seen. Pele started as a CF but his game developed and molded to a deeper and more influential role as a whole. Ronaldo is the #9 - the most complete #9 in fact to ever play the game. Then come Muller, MvB, Romario, etc..
I love Ronaldo, without injuries he would have been even greater. Unbelievably fast, his dribbling skills were unique, he was simply the best for many aspects of the game. He looked like a sort of alien for his times. I remember seven (!) Real Madrid players trying to stop him in action when he played for Inter Milan. But, as Sacchi said (Sacchi is a bit obsessed, but he knew football very well), he played alone. Yes, when he was at his peak he could have win matches even without his team-mates, but football, you know, is a team sport. That was a vary big limit in my eyes. Pelé was science-fiction, he was so ahead of his time, even if he looks like not so impressive today on YouTube 'cause his opponents seem playing in slow motion.
