So lads what do you think about the signing?

Personally I am glad we needed a winger and he fills that spot. I know we are still screaming for defenders but that isn't the lads fault. We just really have to hope that's McLaren's next target.

38 appearances last season he scored 5 and 8 assists not a bad return.

Gutted to see Cabella go as part of the deal as well as I really felt he needed another season before really judging him but here's hoping Marseille don't want to sign him and we get him back.

His first touch was great, and was easily past Luke Shaw. He had a few more decent touches in the next few minutes, and I immediately thought that he looks a decent player.

I'm not concerned at all that Cabella has been shipped out on loan - as he simply didn't do enough last season that suggested that he's good enough for the first team - he was one of the poor performers IMO.
I mean, what exactly is he good at? He had a perfectly good goal disallowed at Leicester but otherwise gave little to the team.

    Need to focus on defence...

I do not trust it at all even if they did all play reasonably well against United.

All players last season underachieved ALL players.
No more so than Anita, carver and co couldn't motivate anyone
Not even his self to single Cabella out is very unfair.. In fact name me one player who deserved his wages last year....?

It was probably more a wages thing, we've got too many midfielders on the books and Cabella's wages are probably too expensive to be sitting on the bench.

If anything I was more disappointed with Abeid leaving permanently as he was never given the chance.

I don't think they were all awful. Perez did well enough, Aarons did very well until he was injured, and Colback worked hard. It's not a long list though ...

Yeah I agree, if we able to sell Williamson, goufran, biringyumana and vuckic there will be
two more defenders brought in which they already have lined up so fingers crossed.

I know its only against Northampton but a great performance by Thauvin.

1 goal and 3 assists hopefully have him confident for the Arsenal game.

Perez needs to break into the team and perform. He had a good run earlyish last season, but that was some time ago. I rate him. I think he'll once again show his class.

He will get his chance now the idiot has a three match ban.
I rate him highly his work and his movement is top draw, Mc
Still don't know his best 11 but I'm happy with the way things
    Are going.
