So, we're looking at a facelift in the near future, and the logo seems the obvious starting point. I don't want to announce this as a "competition" per se, given that we don't really have much to offer you other than the satisfaction of having your work across the top of the site. However, if any of you graphical geniuses would like to knock something together for us that would be great. Don't feel restricted by colour schemes etc; we will use the new logo as the basis for the facelift. I'm not going to put a time limit on this either - we will know the right logo when we see it, and at that point we'll announce and unveil it. Thanks in advance guys and girls!

Okay, let's throw something out there for fun. I don't really want to do the cheesy having footballs for the "o" thing, but if you could incorporate a yellow and red card into it somewhere, that might work.
As opposed to having props like balls or cards in the logo, why not just have something vibrant and colourful that stands out yet professional? Admitedly that is the limit of my input but why don't we adopt the colours of FIFA or another worldwide football organisation if there is one since we are a worldwide community after all.
Not bad suggestions at all - I just hope somebody with better skills in this area than me picks it up!
I'll also give it a go. Been a while since I dicked about in photoshop and variety is a good thing for stuff like this. We got final specs in regards to size i.e. dimensions etc?
That's definitely better. I think we're looking for something we can easily isolate. Looking at the designs we've seen so far, they seem like they'd be pretty difficult to integrate into an overall theme. For example, in DTs example I see the typeface as essentially being the logo - the background is more of a signature element for me?
Posted this in FT. Might be a bit too simple, so I'm planning on changing things a little. Like adding a crown on top of the football, and if I can manage to, then drawing a couple of rampant lions on either side of the football.
Not too "Tshabby"... Yeah - I think something which can be taken in isolation and migrate across themes as and when we have a facelift. Think along the lines of a football club crest, for example, or just some of the major brands - Coca Cola, Apple, etc.
I like that last one Skippy but it looks abit glum. I imagine the colour scheme of the site will be altered in regards to new logo so perhaps abit of colour?
