Just waiting to see when this is going to be moved to, there's no way this is staying a 3 o'clock kick off. I have to say after yesterday I'm absolutely buzzing for this one. It will be a breath of fresh air playing the bin dippers after 8 years, playing our usual basket case neighbors has become abit stale in recent years. Based on their defensive frailties I think we will have a half of chance in this with the way we play under Coops. I will try and make sure I get the day off work for this as I'm desperate to go. Who is going to this on here?
'We All Follow the Forest' - Nottingham Forest FanChants 'Build a Bonfire' - Nottingham Forest FanChants Looking forward to joining in with these. Come on Leicester lot, where are you? I thought you really hated us
The countdown is on now until the match, let's get some discussion going. Do you reckon Brendan will be in for the chop Leicester fans if you dare lose this?
Those didn't go particularly well A break from league action to see if we can stop Leicester performing a giant killing miracle is just what we need right now I feel. Here's one for you @RedDogChris - with us having a much more important league game just 3 days after this, would you want us to play the 2nd string in this match?
God no Tom I want us to go for it and try and do these. I'd be upset with Coops if he threw the tie with a 2nd string selection and you know it would be one of those where it would backfire (think we'll be losing at Blackburn regardless).
A part of me thinks the logical move is to play a 2nd string tomorrow and keep key players rested for Blackburn. But another part of me thinks the same as you that we'll probably lose to Blackburn anyway so might as well just have a go tomorrow. Will be interesting to see what Coops does
I'm genuinely surprised as some of them are all over the Forest timeline on twitter and have been since the draw was made. There's a definite feel that this one is one they are desperate to win (like they shouldn't anyway considering the gulf between the clubs) but it seems the FF LCFC contingent are a little more sensible than the twitter rabble
Tends to be the opposite in this particular local derby. To Forest and Derby it's all about the other one, due to historical ties (Clough) and the sheer geography, Nottingham and Derby are 15 miles apart. Nottingham and Derby are both 30ish miles from Leicester. But because you can't really have two equally fierce rivals Leicester have found themselves on the periphery and have turned their attention towards Coventry which is actually slightly closer to them. I get the impression that Leicester want Forest or Derby to hate them the most to create a real rivalry but it just won't be happening, particularly as they're streets ahead of us both on the pitch. With Forest and Derby it's hatred, with us both and Leicester it's a dislike. I suppose to compare it's like Newcastle and Sunderland having the big rivalry and Middlesbrough on the edges.
Just seen a video of some absolute little c*nt Leicester fans trashing a family pub with women and kids in so I take this back.
Cowardly, a least pick a fight with people actually going to the game if they have to ffs. Anyway we have gone strong, let's bloody do these. COYR!
Ward, Justin, Amartey, Söyüncü, Thomas, Tielemans, Ndidi, Maddison, Barnes, Lookman, Iheanacho. Decent lineup from us. Potentially leaky back line and Kel isn’t as strong for the one man strike role as Daka, but a solid side.
B: Schmeichel, Ricardo, Vestergaard, Albrighton, Soumare, Choudhury, KDH, Perez, Daka was hoping to see some younger lads like Alves make the bench again but great to see Riccy back
I look forward to the sequel where they all get the shit kicked out of them by a bunch of 12 year old girls.
