Yeah he's a rough fight for sure and took me a while to beat him but I'll be honest I got stuck on Isshin for way longer

Winning dude well done, did you get a nice hit of satisfaction when you beat him?

i did mate, whilst shouting fck you at him and flipping him off!

ironically the 3 bosses/mini bosses that took me the most tries are all souls bosses! Demon took ma a good couple of hours, probably not that many goes though as the fight takes so long. the first chained ogre and headless killed me so many times. The chained ogre fight made me realize that i frames are pretty much non existent when dodging. that diving grab attack made up for at least half the deaths. I took on the first headless way to early, and with no confetti. still struggle with them now even at end game. I just can't get the slow timings of their swings

I’ve just re fought isshin and DoH with the reflection of strength option and isshin was so much harder in this version. I’ll recant my earlier post, it is the hardest fight in the game, but still so enjoyable

I’d say that this is their best game (that I’ve played). It’s an almost perfect game imo. I still probably just prefer Elden ring as I love open world games. What I will say is this is possibly the easiest game to replay. Other than a few boss fights and those f***in dual wielding old white monkeys I can kill everything easily. It I have had to put in so much practice ti get to this level. Hours of fighting the same enemies over again to get all their patterns. You can’t cheese your way through this game like every other from soft game I’ve played. It hasn’t been my hardest from soft game, but it is the hardest

Isshin is an amazing fight fore sure, the setting for it and the storm getting worse as the fight goes on as the fight itself gets more intense is one of the many fine details that makes it a great fight.

Its probably my favourite boss fight of any game. This is what sets this game apart from the soulsbourne games, the boss fights are tough but pretty much all fair! And they are enjoyable rather than just an obstacle to overcome to move in to take next area. I still feel nervous fighting melania, malakeith, Lawrence and just want to beat them and move on. I look forward to squaring up to the bosses in Sekiro, even though isshin, owl father and DoH are still kicking my arse. I’ve not re fought any of the headless though

I’ve found ng+ too easy tbh. Doing a charmless demon bell run now on my 3rd run, has definitely upped the difficulty abs keeps the game challenging. The main difference I’ve noticed is how quick my posture fills. Genichiro fight was really tough compared to my other 2 play throughs. Miss one or 2 deflects on his combos are you’re posture broken. Gonna have to move on from this soon, the problem is other games seem such a let down after playing a from soft game

@RedDevilsShinja did you do any of the gauntlet of strengths in Sekiro?

the first 1 I did pretty easily. I’ve spent hours on the second one so far but I’m close and I will beat it. The next 2 will easily be the hardest from software challenge I’ve faced, it’s not even close. Tbh I just don’t think I’m gonna be able to do it! Perfect runs in every boss fight, including the inner versions seems genuinely impossible to me. I’m not even gonna waste my time on it

It’s ridiculously hard! There’s 3 new variations of genichiro, ss isshin and father owl, and they are so much harder than the normal versions. The last gauntlet you have to beat every boss in the game consecutively including the 3 inner versions. Hats off to anyone that has done that. I’m not even gonna attempt it

Just finished playing Sekiro. This may well be my all time favourite game!

have been doing the gauntlet of strengths for the last 3 weeks. Finally beat the mortal journey last night with the demon bell as well. Without doubt the hardest thing I’ve beaten in any game by a fair margin. Mortal journey is the last one and you have to beat every boss in the game, back to back without dying. This includes 3 new inner bosses which are beefed up versions of the main antagonist’s, and far harder than the base game versions. 17 fights all together. If you die yo have to start all over again. It literally seems impossible to me a month ago but I have put so much practice in that most of the end game bosses now just feel like regular enemies

Definitely think it’s time to move on to another game now. Hopefully the Elden ring dlc is out soon?

Playing Bloodborne properly for the first time. It's tough. Feels harder than Elden Ring simply cos you can't just instantly retry the boss fights.

Think I accidentally wandered into the wrong area too because I fought Gascoigne and got my shit pushed in before finding the Cleric beast. Beat him after 3 tries I think. It's a fun fight that get's you used to the mechanics.

Edit: Beat Gascoigne too. The music box is OP as ****.

Bloodborne was my first from soft game and that first area - yarnham - absolutely destroyed me time and again. I spent a whole day getting my arse kicked even before I got to gascoinge. That music box saved my sanity first play through

imo it gets a lot easier after the first level. Learn your parry timings dude, as some of the quicker bosses and hunters enemies can be very difficult to beat without being able to confidently parry them.

for me bloodborne is probably the easiest from soft game but I’m not sure that’s a popular opinion. Most seem to really struggle with this and Sekiro due to the faster pace and the need to be aggressive. Hope you stick with it dude and if you fancy an even greater challenge, give the dlc a go. The 1 thing from soft fans are consistent on is how hard the dlc is. If you do try the dlc I’d strongly recommend beating the base game first!

Yeah, I've heard the dlc is brutal. Definitely palling to stick with it, very fun and rewarding so far.

Good to hear dude, it is a fantastic game. There’s nothing too challenging in the base game imo. It’s certainly difficult but if you’ve beat gascoine and cleric beast you’ll not have too much trouble with the boss fights going forward. They are a pretty good representation of most of the boss fights in the game. Father gascoine is the first and the games major roadblock. Players generally give up at that point, or go on and complete the game. More than half of players that have started the game don’t get past him

    What weapon are you using?

Using the Saw Spear. I started off with the hunter axe but it’s heavy attack charge up is a little too slow for my play style so switched and now I’m just abusing the deflect and visceral attack combo.

Good choice dude! I’ve played through the game about 7/8 times and even though I love a couple of the katanas you can get later in the game, the saw spear is the best weapon in the game, no doubt. Its fast, has range, double serrated edge, and has a poke attack. It is literally good in every situation against any enemy type. It will easily take you the the end of the game. It’s my go to as soon as I can grab it in the yarnham

Bloodborne is the best from game, my fav weapon is the cane.

For the next From game I really hope they update the camera a bit, I've put almost 400 hours into Monster Hunter Rise/Sunbreak now and the camera is so much better it's not even funny. Mechanically both games are quite similar, super hard hitting bosses with high commitment animations and bosses that can punish poor play but one thing I can't say I've ever died from in MH:R/B is the camera. Unlike Souls games. One of the things that the camera does is for certain attacks it pulls back (sometimes pretty significantly) to give a better overview of what's going on. Like for example, the fire giant, I have no idea what it's moveset actually is as you just can't see what he's doing and it's a poor fight imo.

tbh I think Sekiro my favourite now! And I keep going back to it every now and again for a few showdowns with inner ganichiro, owl and isshin. They’re 3 of the best boss fight me I’ve played in any game. Bloodborne and Elden a very close 2nd/3rd. All amazing games

the camera is an issue in all of their games on some bosses. High lord wolnir has gotta be the worst in the games I’ve played. Thankfully he’s easy to kill, unlike the fire giant. In bloodborne amygdala springs to mind. And the blood letting beast/dark beast Paarl

Just started demon souls remake. I just coming off playing Sekiro and sifu (which are parry heavy games) so I’m using a shield and parrying shit in his game. This is the only souls game I’ve ever used a shield and I’m finding it fairly easy so far. Only killed a couple of bosses so I’m sure I’ll hit a wall somewhere soon

    @RedDevilsShinja, you played demon souls?
