Broony terminating his contract with Aberdeen and retiring, which isn't unexpected. Had a truly tremendous career and hope he does well in management or coaching. Linked with the St.Mirren job.
Over the course of his career, aye. He played through ankle issues a couple of times because the manager at the time asked him to, which was detrimental to the play on the pitch I felt. But I think age was the main thing that caught up with him. He looked to have lost a lot of the mobility that made him such a fantastic player.
Just the sort of character a few teams could do with in their dressing room, won't take any crap from any of the players. More likely to start off as an assistant somewhere.
I wonder whether he's bottled it again before the end of the season, or if Goodwin just hasn't got room for him. Interesting either way
