No need to apologise, but I can't accept Preston as they'd finished by the time you posted this. Feel free to change for a later kick off if you wish
We are in the full house club again this week with not 1, but 2 full houses smashed out of the park. We shall begin with Cal_BCFC who took one of those full houses on his way to a 2nd weekly high score of the season and his highest score of the season to take himself away from the rest at the top of the table. Colinmorriswalksonwater was the other full houser this week as they claw back the deficit between them and the top 3 to be bang in that early title mix. And talking of being in the mix for the title, I have managed to drag myself back up to 2nd spot after a decent week which saw me claim the second highest score of the week whilst Panja struggled like an England bowler in the Indian heat to drop down a place to 3rd. There weren't so many moves in the table this week as previous weeks, usually a sign that players are finding their place in the table but with things remaining tight, and less than 30 points separating the top 10, I suspect league movement will be happening for many more weeks yet. So whilst much of the mid-table positions are as you were from last week, there was plenty of movement in that bottom grouping as both Garrincha and Spaceman Spiff move up a place at the expense of the AWOL RedDevil19 - however, I think their enjoyment of being off the bottom of the table may be short-lived as I suspect we have lost RedDevil19 for this season so he will be removed from the league next week. Further up from the bottom lot, TAFKAP is on the move again, rising one place to 12th at the expense of CFC91 - however, TAFKAP remains bottom of the battle of the admin with StretfordEnd and TLC being way ahead....at the moment! Mini-League Series We reach the end of Season 2 of the Mini-League series and that means it is time to hand out more points for the overall table. I have led the way in The Super League group since week 1 of this season but in the style of Nottingham Forest, I have managed to throw that lead away right at the end as Cal_BCFC makes it 2 in a row with a 2nd group win of the season to become the race away leader of the overall table. I just about managed to cling on to 2nd spot although that was only because of the Sheff Utd goal which saw TLC drop out of the top 2 meaning I grab the 5 points for 2nd spot to move up to 2nd in the overall table. There was no change at the bottom of this group as RedDogChris and Vanni find themselves losing points in the table and also losing their places in the top group as they slide down the pyramid. It was always going to be a tough ask for someone to overturn the lead held by Garrincha and StretfordEnd after last week in The Premier Division group, and that proved to be the case as they both held onto the promotion places. Garrincha claims the top spot to move up tied 3rd in the overall table whilst StretfordEnd is now up to the top 5 and also has a shot at the big prize in the top group next season. Another case of as you were at the bottom of this group as the 2 who entered the final week in the drop zone stayed there with Super_horns and CFC91 dropping through the trapdoor and dropping points in the overall table. In The Pub Division, it is Hashtag55 who claims the biggest points as group winner to move up the overall table with Panja claiming the other promotion spot to claim his first point of the season. Spaceman Spiff just misses out on promotion but it is RedDevil19 who is bottom and loses the 4 points. If, as expected, RedDevil19 doesn't return next week, I will remove him from the bottom group but will keep the bottom group alive. It will remain as a 3 player group with the top 2 still gaining promotion and the bottom place losing 4 points. GOS Tinpot Shield The competition for the first silverware of the season is hotting up as we head into the knockout stage. There's a bit of work for players to do to overturn 1st leg deficits next week as I manage to claim a 10 point advantage over Panja in our tie, whilst Cal_BCFC takes a 12 point lead into the 2nd leg with shudewill. In the 2nd half of the draw, StretfordEnd is 8 points ahead of CFC91 but it's much tighter in the 4th Quarter Final with Super_horns and Daz_Blade setting up the tie of the round next week as SH takes a slender 2 point lead into leg 2. All of your scores for the week, along with the new table, the latest mini-season tables and the Tinpot Shield can now be found below. Navigate through the different weeks by clicking on the tabs at the bottom. If you spot an error then just let me know! The players are in alphabetical order to give you a clue as to how far you have to scroll right to find your scores and it is still the same in that the league tables include the number of Full Houses (FH), Not To Scores (NTS) and Double Points Selections (DB) you've been successful with as well as your total points. I will use those 3 things (in this order) to determine the outcome of any ties Player of the Month: August - @Panja September - @Garrincha October - ???
