With 14 points separating the high and low scores, it is safe to say this week has been a topsy-turvy one in the world of GOS! We start with joint high scorers and they come from the bottom half of the table as Borussia Teeth and CFC91 enjoy a week in the sun as the highest scorers as both continue to move themselves away from the bottom three. At the top of the table, Cal_BCFC continues to hog top spot but the pressure is really mounting as his 23 point lead has turned into a 14 point lead this week with Daz_Blade continuing his fine form with the second highest score this week to move up another place to 2nd. TLC is also an upward mover and back into the top 3 as shudewill suffers a little this week slips down to 4th. Myself and StretfordEnd are right behind and remain in contention whilst Vanni is also edging their way into the title party at the right time of the season. It's as you were in the mid-table region until you get down to Spaceman Spiff who leaps above Panja as 11th and 12th spot changes hands. Both RedDogChris and Garrincha score well so the bottom places remain as you were and it appears we have lost Hashtag55 for this season so I will remove him from the table for next week. GOS League Trophy After the qualifying round wasn't required, we got the 1st round proper underway this week. I'm in all sorts of bother in my tie against CFC91 who picks the perfect week to top score and take a massive lead into our 2nd leg. It's a bit tighter in the ties between Spaceman Spiff and Vanni and Cal_BCFC and Colinmorriswalksonwater but Borussia Teeth's weekly high score sees them take a big lead over Panja. In the other half of the draw there is work to do for StrefordEnd and shudewill who have deficits to make up against Daz_Blade and TAFKAP respectively. It's a bit tighter in the other ties as Super_horns gains a slender lead over TLC whilst just 3 points separates Garrincha and RedDogChris with the former leading into the 2nd leg, Mini-League Series We reach the halfway point of yet another season and it is tight in The Super League group with TAFKAP and Daz_Blade tied in the top 2 spots. They do have a 10 point cushion between them and Super_horns in 3rd but with lots of points available in the next 3 weeks, SH will be interesting in reducing that deficit into his favour. It's just as tight at the bottom with 1 point separating 4th, 5th and 6th but it is me stuck in the relegation zone with Cal_BCFC as TLC does enough this week to escape the bottom 2. Borussia Teeth continues to follow up their previous promotion by taking The Premier Division group by storm. They now have a 15 point lead over shudewill who remains in 2nd spot but both Spaceman Spiff and StretfordEnd remain just a few points outside of the top 2. Garrincha and Colinmorriswalksonwater continue to occupy the bottom 2 but have plenty of time to recover. There is a big lead in The Pub Division group as well as RedDogChris continues his quest for a return to the middle group with Panja still in the other promotion spot. However, CFC91's recovery continues and their top week this week means they are now right in the promotion race with 3 weeks left to play. All of your scores for the week, along with the new table, GOS League Trophy results and the latest mini-season tables can now be found below. Navigate through the different weeks by clicking on the tabs at the bottom. If you spot an error then just let me know! The players are in alphabetical order to give you a clue as to how far you have to scroll right to find your scores and it is still the same in that the league tables include the number of Full Houses (FH), Not To Scores (NTS) and Double Points Selections (DB) you've been successful with as well as your total points. I will use those 3 things (in this order) to determine the outcome of any ties Player of the Month: August - @Panja September - @Garrincha October - @Cal_BCFC November - @StretfordEnd December - @TLC January - ???
Good job mate - thanks for your efforts today. It was quite hectic with fixtures dropping like flies!
Winter GOS keeps me on my toes. I'm hoping for warmer temps next weekend as I am working on the Saturday haha
I will also add at this point as well, that the help from everybody is massively appreciated in times of chaos during the winter months. Notifying each other and me of postponements is a great help all round - always nice to see us pulling together as a group
