No full houses this week but we do have a new name at the top of the highest weekly scorer charts as Spaceman Spiff claims the highest score of the week for the first time. This achieves the milestone of every player having enjoyed this accolade at least once this season and sees Spaceman Spiff close the gap on those above them. With lots of similar scores this week, there was little movement in the league table with the only change of positions coming in the top 4 as I was able to climb back above shudewill and into the top 4. At the top of the table, Cal_BCFC remains our leader and has managed to increase his lead over Daz_Blade in 2nd spot to 18 points whilst TLC keeps hold of 3rd place. Panja is another solid scorer this week as he looks to drag himself away from the bottom group and into the mid-table region. It's as you were at the bottom of the table with RedDogChris, Garrincha, CFC91 and Borussia Teeth in a 4 way battle to avoid the wooden spoon. Mini-League Series We are already back at the business end of another season and the race to ultimate glory continues in The Super League group as TAFKAP and Daz_Blade continue to lead the way. They have a 10 point lead over the rest but 10 points can easily be turned around and Super_horns won't be giving up on a top 2 finish just yet. Looks like quite the run in at the wrong end of the table as well with 4 players at risk of relegation as just 4 points separates myself, TLC and Vanni and Cal_BCFC with the latter 2 residing in the bottom 2 as I am able to escape the red zone this week with Vanni moving in! We have a change in the promotion places of The Premier Division group as Spaceman Spiff becomes leader Borussia Teeth's nearest rival as they leap above shudewill into the top 2. shudewill is now in 3rd but 10 points adrift of the promotion party whilst StretfordEnd is just a point further back. However, both of these are closer to the relegation zone which remains occupied with Garrincha and Colinmorriswalksonwater but the gap has narrowed to give both hope of survival. No change in The Pub Division group as RedDogChris continues to steamroll his way to promotion with Panja remaining in 2nd spot. CFC91 remains in the hunt but has slipped a little further off the pace this week. *Note that with Hashtag55 seemingly having dropped from the game, I will now be reviewing the layout of the league structure for the Mini-League ready for the start of Season 6 in a couple of weeks GOS League Trophy The first round of the GOS League Trophy is complete and in the 1st half of the draw I fall at the first hurdle despite a 2nd leg recovery as CFC91 progresses. Also into the QF is Spaceman Spiff who overcomes Vanni, whilst league leader Cal_BCFC is another name into the next round with victory over Colinmorriswalksonwater. Panja copies me in winning his 2nd leg tie but still going out as Borussia Teeth marches on thanks to their strong 1st leg showing. In the other half of the draw we have seen the current holder's attempt at retaining the title fail at the first attempt as holder StretfordEnd is knocked out by Daz_Blade. TAFKAP is through to the next round with victory over shudewill whilst Super_horns managed to defeat TLC in the tightest match of the 1st round with just 3 points separating their aggregate scores. In the final tie of the 1st round Garrincha makes it into the QF having defeated RedDogChris! The Quarter Final draw is complete and available below.
