Each week from the fixtures posted you chose the 10 teams you expect to score you bold the one you hope to score loads as your 'double pointer' for the week then a single team you think won't score

You get a point for each goal scored by your nominated scoring teams (2 points per goal for your double)
It your Not To Score (NTS) doesn't you get 3 points .... if they do score then deduct a point for each one they score.

There's the overall season leader board for points and then a complicated (well I don't understand it) league thing that runs alongside where we 'play' each other for promotion to the premier / super league or something (I never do well in this)

It's just a bit of fun through the season :)

You'll get a few weeks of extra points to make up for the weeks Hashtag didn't play before he gave up.

Do it - you know it makes sense :)

Apologies @dale4ever, I'm at work so can only get on now and again today! Thanks to @TLC for the help though :)

@dale4ever if you see this before the 3pms, feel free to select a 2nd double selection and both will be valid - just a little way to help you claw some points back for a few weeks :)

You can pick a 2nd double so you can catch up more quickly for a few weeks :thumb

Before we get into the full write up, firstly we welcome dale4ever to the game. They take on the points Hashtag55 had accumulated by the time he dropped out in week 20 - this was a total of 481 points but I have added a few extra to compensate for dale having missed the festive bonus weeks so they start on 514 which is exactly 100 points behind the next player. They will also have opportunity to pick 2 doubles each week for the foreseeable, probably for the remainder of the season as we head towards the final weeks!

Now onto the scoring for this week and we have 2 full housers this week as Spaceman Spiff and Daz_Blade both fill their card and share the highest score of the week this week. It's a first ever full house for Spaceman Spiff and moves them into the 700 point club and well away from that battle at the bottom whilst Daz's score changes the look of the top of the table. Cal_BCFC remains our leader but that hefty lead he had accumulated in recent weeks is gone and now Daz is just 5 points behind with many points left to play for. Just behind the top 2 and there are others who remain in the title hunt with just 30 points separating top spot and StretfordEnd in 5th with TLC and myself in between eyeing a late charge to the summit. Even Vanni, TAFKAP and shudewill in the following 3 places won't be giving up just yet as they all sit very close to the top 5. Not much movement in the league table this week but there was a bit of movement towards the bottom as Borussia Teeth and CFC91 took advantage of the no shows from Garrincha and Panja to each move up a place in the table. RedDogChris will also prefer the look of this weeks table, not only because he is off the bottom but also because he is now very much in the mix with those just above him.

    Mini-League Series

We reach the end of Season 6 of the mini-league series and that means more points for the overall table. The top 2 in The Super League group had been decided for a few weeks now as TAFKAP and Daz_Blade swatted everyone else aside and despite a spirited effort by Daz to nab the group win, TAFKAP holds on to top spot and adds 10 points to his overall tally, moving him up to 3rd in that table. Daz_Blade takes the runners up 3 points and is now in the top 5 of the overall table. At the wrong end of the group, overall league leader Cal_BCFC is relegated and drops a couple of points from his overall tally and he is joined in the middle group by myself as TLC just above claws back the points to drag me into the bottom 2 and that sees me down to 8th in the overall table.

Things were a bit tighter in The Super League group and a bad week for someone could see things change dramatically. And that is what we got, with the eyes of the world on them, Borussia Teeth found the promotion pressure too much and a bad week sees them drop from top spot and out of the promotion places to 3rd. Spaceman Spiff's superb week sees them rise to top spot and into the top group, adding 5 points to their overall tally to move into tied 6th place in the overall table. With Borussia Teeth's demise, came an opportunity for someone else to nab a last minute promotion and that is exactly what StretfordEnd did and those extra 3 points are enough for him to finish season 6 in 2nd place in the overall table. Garrincha's no show is enough to see them relegated alongside Colinmorriswalksonwater who returns to the bottom group after just one season in the middle group.

In The Pub Division group, RedDogChris had things sewn up many moons ago and he does indeed go up as group winner and is able to bring his overall tally closer to a positive score whilst CFC91 takes the 2nd promotion spot to move to 10th spot in the overall table. Nobody loses any points from this group as dale4ever takes over Hashtag55 but won't commence in this competition until next week.

    GOS League Trophy

We complete the 2nd legs of the Quarter Finals and in game 1 Spaceman Spiff progresses to the semi-final stage with victory over CFC91 who was always up against it after their no show last week. It's not much closer in the other match on this side of the draw as Cal_BCFC is able to easily move past the challenge of Borussia Teeth. On the other side of the draw, game 3 sees the closest match of the tie with some excellent scoring from both Daz_Blade and TAFKAP over the course of the last 2 weeks but it is TAFKAP who progresses despite Daz making a good fight in the 2nd leg after his heavy defeat in the 1st leg. TAF will play Super_horns in the semi-final after he was given a walkover by Garrincha who must have got lost on the way to the stadium!

All of your scores for the week, along with the new table, GOS League Trophy results and the latest mini-season tables can now be found below. Navigate through the different weeks by clicking on the tabs at the bottom. If you spot an error then just let me know!

The players are in alphabetical order to give you a clue as to how far you have to scroll right to find your scores and it is still the same in that the league tables include the number of Full Houses (FH), Not To Scores (NTS) and Double Points Selections (DB) you've been successful with as well as your total points. I will use those 3 things (in this order) to determine the outcome of any ties :)

I think you might be overthinking it :D
@dale4ever the Mini-League Series is basically mini-seasons scored in exactly the same way as the main league but just over 6 week periods. At the end of the 6 weeks there is promotion and relegation between the groups and points gained by those in the top positions of each group and points lost by those in the bottom places of each group, with the tally of these points kept in the "Overall Table" which is the table that decides the winner of the series at the end of the season!

You can find what positions in the groups equate to what points for the overall table in the OP of this thread - Goals on Saturday (New Season & Rules)

I really like the mini leagues and the cup - they can be a route to a bit of success during the year, especially if you're somewhat lowly in the main table.

Of course, I nailed it this week so the whole thing is genius. Ask me next week when I'm back to nul points and my NTS hits 10... I might give you a different opinion then!

This is exactly what they're all about!

The whole idea of cups and the mini-league came from the fact that I found myself a mid-tabler (at best) in my early days and realised it can become a bit tedious and boring for people in these positions and so wanted to create other ways for people to have something to play for.
