Safe to say that Week 35 has been a bit of a struggle all round with nobody managing to get beyond 20 points and only one person finding a not to score selection who didn't score. And that person is RedDogChris who is also our top scorer this week and that ensures he keeps the Aussie down under (see what I did there? ) as he grows his lead over Panja in that battle at the bottom. At the top, league leader Cal_BCFC is our second lowest scorer this week but others don't take full advantage and whilst Vanni is able to reduce the arrears, the gap between the top 2 remains in double figures. Daz_Blade also reduces the gap between him and Cal as he remains in that 3 way title race. Just below those TLC is the 4th player to go past 900 points for the season as she remains in 4th spot but further down we have some movement in the table as TAFKAP is back into the top 5 having got back above shudewill and StretfordEnd is up a place to 7th as my slide towards mid-table obscurity continues. Talking of mid-table, Super_horns remains in touching distance of a top 5 finish but we now have a bit of a divide between them and the bottom half with nobody in that bottom grouping being able to improve their league position this week. Mini-League Series With just one week now left to play it really looks like Vanni has The Super League group wrapped up as they head into the final week with a 29 point lead over Daz_Blade who remains in 2nd spot. Super_horns, TAFKAP and TLC won't have given up on nabbing some points by leaping into the top 2 next week but each of them will also have to keep one eye on the relegation places with StretfordEnd and Spaceman Spiff currently occupying them but both being very close to that safety line! In The Premier Division group, despite his poor week (by his standards), Cal_BCFC is actually able to increase his lead over CFC91 with the latter not making it this week. The fact that CFC91 has missed this week and still held onto 2nd spot in the group shows how low the scoring was this week. However, it has left the rest of the group tightly packed with just 13 points separating 2nd place from bottom spot with me occupying that space with RedDogChris remaining in the bottom 2 with me. Garrincha remains the runaway leader of The Pub Division group and looking good for promotion but the battle below them is ongoing with just 5 points now separating Panja in 2nd and Colinmorriswalksonwater in 3rd with dale4ever being adrift at the bottom having missed the last couple of weeks. All of your scores for the week, along with the new table and the latest mini-season tables can now be found below. Navigate through the different weeks by clicking on the tabs at the bottom. If you spot an error then just let me know! The players are in alphabetical order to give you a clue as to how far you have to scroll right to find your scores and it is still the same in that the league tables include the number of Full Houses (FH), Not To Scores (NTS) and Double Points Selections (DB) you've been successful with as well as your total points. I will use those 3 things (in this order) to determine the outcome of any ties Player of the Month: August - @Panja September - @Garrincha October - @Cal_BCFC November - @StretfordEnd December - @TLC January - @Borussia Teeth February - @Vanni March - ???
Extra Notice: It is now confirmed that we have 10 weeks left to run of GOS 2023/24 meaning the season will end on the weekend of 18th and 19th May. This also means that we are short of time to be able to complete the GOS Cup during the remaining weeks so I have to come up with a contingency plan. So for this season the top 6 at the end of Week 34 are automatically into the GOS Cup quarter finals and the remaining 10 players will fight it out in Round 1 which is a round robin format with the top 2 of the group progressing to join the "big 6" (no big 6 bias in this competition unlike the PL though ). To fit the schedule in, I have had to include the 1st round of fixtures into this weekends gameweek so the scores from Week 35 have been used for the 1st round of matches in round 1. On top of this, Week 36 will be used to score Week 2 and Week 3 of the 1st round of the GOS Cup. The scores of the week 1 fixtures, the latest table and all fixtures can be found below: If anyone is unsure of anything or wishes to declare any dissatisfaction with how I am having to play out the GOS Cup competition feel free to get in touch and then we can have a discussion about it and then agree that I am right
No complaints (format seems pretty good) but I had to double check to make sure this was right... On an unrelated note, joker not scoring was kind of upsetting...
Are you planning to partake for the remainder of the season? I'll shoehorn you into the GOS Cup if you are - didn't include you as you'd missed a couple of weeks so thought you'd dropped out
