I really toyed with not going for Luton, thought it through and decided that they just can't score - and for much of the match it looked to be a good choice

Bloody Chesterfield! How very dare you win the league at a canter and not score away to Wealdstone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They have given up after winning it. Think they have lost every game since ! If this was in a higher league a few questions would be asked about their attitude and respect to the rest of the teams.
We are at the stage of the season where the footballing cliche of "finest of margins" comes into play. Vanni was just a Bologna goal away from seriously closing the gap on Cal_BCFC but the full house eluded them as Bologna failed to score. They do finish as the week high scorer though and the deficit is reduced but remains in double figures as Cal also scores well this week. In fact it was a case of the scoring being a much of a muchness across the board with only 8 points separating the lowest score and the top score but Vanni's rise back into 2nd spot does mean Daz_Blade slips a place to 3rd. I also slip a place further back in the field as my week low score allows TLC to rise again whilst just above us in 4th, TAFKAP becomes the latest player to clear 1000 points for the season. At the wrong end of the table, Panja finds form at the right time to claim the 2nd highest score this week to continue to fend off new arrival Dale4ever but above them there was no change in any other positions as we all jostle to finish the season as high as possible! Mini-League Series No change at the top of The Super League group as Cal_BCFC and TAFKAP continue to hog the top 2 places with Cal extending his lead to 4 points as we head into the final week of the penultimate season. Super_horns remains their closest threat just 5 points further back whilst Vanni's week high score brings them back into the frame for a top 2 finish with Daz_Blade slipping a place to just above the relegation zone. However, he does have a 9 point advantage over TLC and shudewill who occupy the bottom 2 going into that final week next week. Spaceman Spiff continues their quest for an immediate return to the top group by maintaining that 5 point advantage over Garrincha who remains in 2nd spot. Colinmorriswalksonwater has a solid week and brings themselves to within 7 points of the promotion places for a late onslaught next week whilst the relegation fight looks to be a 3 horse race with RedDogChris just about keeping himself above the danger line but only on goal difference with StretfordEnd on the same points in the bottom 2 with CFC91 having some work to do next week to avoid the drop. In The Pub Division group, it looks to be a 2 horse race to the group title as myself and Borussia Teeth head into the final week on the same points, with Teeth slightly ahead on the NTS. Panja is making a good fight of it though and another good week next week could easily see him gatecrash the promotion party. dale4ever's missed week leaves them cut slightly adrift at the bottom but we can put their late arrival to the game this season as a practice run for a title charge next season GOS Cup We are now at the stage of the 1st round of the GOS Cup where the amount of fixtures left has depleted to the point that some people have guaranteed themselves a 1st round exit. In the battle for the top 2 though, we have a new leader as Garrincha defeats StretfordEnd by just one point to move to the top after previous leader Super_horns is outgunned by Panja who is now off the bottom. These defeats for both Stret and Panja mean they are confirmed to be out. Colinmorriswalksonwater is now tied on points with Super_horns for 2nd place after they comfortably defeated me, a defeat which means my GOS Cup journey ends here. Spaceman Spiff is a one point victor over RedDogChris but this result means both players remain in contention for the top 2, just about whilst CFC91 also wins by the odd point to also remain in the hunt but this is at the expense of Borussia Teeth who slips to the bottom of the group and is out. All of your scores for the week, along with the new table, GOS Cup results and the latest mini-season tables can now be found below. Navigate through the different weeks by clicking on the tabs at the bottom. If you spot an error then just let me know! The players are in alphabetical order to give you a clue as to how far you have to scroll right to find your scores and it is still the same in that the league tables include the number of Full Houses (FH), Not To Scores (NTS) and Double Points Selections (DB) you've been successful with as well as your total points. I will use those 3 things (in this order) to determine the outcome of any ties Player of the Month: August - @Panja September - @Garrincha October - @Cal_BCFC November - @StretfordEnd December - @TLC January - @Borussia Teeth February - @Vanni March - @Vanni April - ???
