I'd like to know the best score ever too, guessing it's 40-42. I'd also like to know who came up with the concept, great game - i'm sure the bookies would be interested.
Superb stuff Canary........2nd all time best score I actually remember that. And bloody 2 the lowest. I have nowt to worry about then.
Good stuff CANARY10 and mucho credit to K@mpso as it seems he did 'invent' the game. My season's points record should easily be broken this season as CANARY10 picks some big favourites (Chelsea v Hull ) whereas K@mpso avoided such games. I can see the 40 point barrier being broken in the not too distant as well.
Just goes to show if anyone replicates Mad Hatters brilliant 39, and I get an excellent 2 like TIG3R5 and cpfc1 did, then 37 points can be made up!
It could be your year MH, it's getting very close. If a top player gets a really good score it's highly unlikely that another top player will get a dreadful score in the same week. I'd say, with a Full House, a good player could beat another by about 15 points, 20 max.
Yes, but you forget (and I won't, it's scarred me for life!) that both last season and the year before I've had big leads (and I mean big, I think it was 30+ at one point) at the top and blown it both times! I'm a bottler.
In spite of the fact YipJaap always finishes above me in this, and indeed everything else, as he will this season, I take huge comfort from the fact he's on that list and I'm not. Though I have once scored 4.
Leading brings different pressures though, i may of blown it last season under similar circumstances. This year you might time your run just right. I've lost count of how many times i've been leading 2-0 at darts and lost 2-3 (or vice versa). It's as if you feel you've proved yourself and take your eye off the ball(/board) whereas your opponent is desperate/determined to fight back. I think canary10's been leading all season but he must be a bit worried looking over his shoulder with no one to chase himself.
